7 best drinks for your kidneys

I just drink a lot of Gatorade. Interesting as my Doc tells me I should use more salt as my sodium is low. WTH? And my sugar is lower than average.

I have a kidney condition called Idiopathic Membraneous Neuropathy which are three words better described like "We don' know" why you are spitting out the protein....

I got my cholesterol under control and it went away. So, no soda - no alcohol (no taste for it except a Guinness here and there (and a Old Forrester) and just Gatorade and Water.

What where the 7 drinks? Cranberry Juice?

I drink about 1/3 - 1/2 gallon of coffee a day.
I try to fit in another 30oz of water lightly flavored with a pack of sugar free propel electrolytes
then another 24-36oz of beer if possible. otherwise a couple ounces of liquor mixed into whatever drinks are handy. or just water, vodka, and lemon juice... you know, to make sure i get enough fluids in my diet.

My doc/PA told me 3 liters of H20 a day. I dont even come close. I take electrolyte supplements. Still get leg and foot cramps. Statins.

Number one is water. Lots of it.

My family has some kidney disease passed from mother to sons only. It causes blood to show in my urine on a typical dip stick. It always causes new drs to want to freak out and send me to specialist.
