Some folks enjoy getting their junk stepped on, there's all sorts of weirdos out there lolA friend of mine said he saw a level 10,000 player the other day. So yes, endless grind, but they obviously enjoy the game.
Haven't played 76 in quite a while. Early on, it was pretty bad. Beta-test-duh really whiffed on going multiplayer online and failed to read their audience. In my experience, and 76 was no different, those wanting to play that style of game typically either just want to run around and play bang - bang or act as griefers trying to spoil the fun for everyone. They typically jump onto the latest thing and then move on to the next one.Any thoughts on Fallout 4 compared to 76? Haven't played the series at all.
Right on. I'll snag Fo4 next time it's on sale.
I've already gone to Acadia, handled all of Dima's tasks including making peace for the island by ousting the leader of the Atom people. I left the other tasks for later. My goal is to get back to level 50 or so with some killer power armor and then just go stomp all my foes and tie up loose ends.far harbor is not a place to start the game.. no sir. it's often challenging even at a high level.
Just going to add, though she seems to have gone dark, Marta Branco, aka Innovsurvivalist, has an excellent series of videos on Fallout 76.
Even better, is Paul at Skooledzone (or maybe it’s Skoolezone) with regards to Fallout 4.
Highly recommended both, on U-tube.
My wife and I still play now and then. She enjoys the camp building. Plenty of videos on the subject on youtube if you enjoy that sort of thing.
I haven’t played in a while, but most of what I did was camp building and trading for collectibles. Some of my early builds were rough, but got better and better the more eclectic I made it. Started with a warehouse type building, then a lofted wood/glass cabin, but my favorite is probably the house I built in to the side of a dam.
I didn’t go too in on the base building in 76, which was initially discouraged, but later encouraged (read your audience).I haven’t played in a while, but most of what I did was camp building and trading for collectibles. I met up with a few friends, like Ashley aka Nami Nico Assuna, and as someone said in this or another thread “you mean girls are people too?” And she would frequently gift me special made weapons and we’d use each other’s base to recharge and resuscitate. I even have a few pictures of her playing the piano in my cabin and the two of us on the roof of her base with us looking out over a distant mountain range.but you can teleport to a team mate's camp for free
Yep. Took advantage of that pretty regularly, less so as I stopped playing after seemingly always being near max caps.I still enjoy camp tourism. Have you played since they added public teams? People mostly ignore each other and join for the group buffs, but you can teleport to a team mate's camp for free so it's easy to join a team and check out everyone's camp.
Haven’t played MW3 yet. Better than MW2?I need a COD MW3 teammate. That is the only way you are going to keep your W/L and K/D ratios up.
Get a used PS4 and Sniper Elite 4 and Sniper Elite 5. WW2 Era. I love those games.Since retiring I've had a lot of free time. I've read all the books that I can stand now and long for a more mindless pursuit. So gaming comes to mind. I've not done that for a long time. Last I remember was playing Quake on our Mac. Great fun. I liked the first person format, no puzzles, no script, just run around shooting monsters.i think that I want to get back to playing but so much has changed that I don't know where to start. I don't think that I want to play with/against other people. I don't want to pay periodically to play ( no subscription). I do like the first person thing and am drawn to historical simulations. Oh, I don't really want to spend a big wad of money.
So what do I do?

Absolutely... the new update for Season 3 is more "realistic". Gameplay is different, more like some of the other FPS games. I am using PS5Haven’t played MW3 yet. Better than MW2?
They bring back hardcore cyber attack? Won’t even be a consideration for me unless that game mode was brought back.Absolutely... the new update for Season 3 is more "realistic". Gameplay is different, more like some of the other FPS games. I am using PS5
Console. Gaming pcs don't fit my requirements.PC Gamer or Console gamer? Your definition of big wad of money will help decide that since PC gaming is more expensive.
I've allways stayed with the Playstation consoles cause I absolutely hate the way the Xbox controllers feel. The Playstation controllers fit and feel better in my hands while playing games. Kinda like a firearm if it don't fit and feel right in the hand your not gonna use it. But as far as game play goes there's not much difference between Xbox systems and Playstation systems. Why PS4 vs XBox as recommended above?
I'm hoping this doesn't break my favourite mods.Fallout 4 is Getting Free Updates

Oh I'm aware, I've been playing Bethesda games a while now.
Did they make the base building have a point yet?I have been playing Starfield since the release. Despite its flaws, which are sometimes really overblown, I have enjoyed the game.
I have not even bothered trying to do that..so I guess the answer is "no" lolDid they make the base building have a point yet?

Same. I was going to give in and get a 5 for Helldivers 2, but the controllers......I’m the exact opposite, I can’t stand PlayStation controllers.
The PS5's controller is different from the PS4. Stop by one of them there electronic stores, and see if they got a demo model on the floor. I personally think the PS5 controller is a big improvement, over previous versions.Same. I was going to give in and get a 5 for Helldivers 2, but the controllers......
Hrm, it sure looks similar but maybe..... I'd really like to find a fun coop game again. The PS5's controller is different from the PS4.
