Gary Rossington passed yesterday.

Every now and then I revisit Skynyrds music and am just blown away by the "guitars everywhere" sound. Gary was the backbone of that sound. He seemed like a gentle giant. He will be missed.

Gary Rossington, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s last surviving original member who also helped to found the group, died Sunday at the age of 71. No cause of death was given.
 
A buddy of mine in 10th grade bought a copy of the newly released “Second Helping” and brought it over to my parent’s house. After listening to both sides I remember thinking to myself , “Every one of these songs is going to be a hit.”

Everyday I'm reminded of how old I am as people from my youth pass.
Went to Carowinds pavilion and saw Rossington Collins Band preform.
Thanks for the memories
