RIP Wahoo95

Hey ya'll - I met Eddie a little over a year ago when our daughters played on the same volleyball team and we became fast friends. Eddie was genuinely one of a kind. He was the epitome of generosity, always ready to offer the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His love for his family knew no bounds; he was incredibly proud of his wife and daughters and never missed an opportunity to share stories about their accomplishments and adventures.

Aside from being a devoted family man, Eddie was passionate about many things, including sports, bourbon, and especially firearms. Many of us have had the pleasure of engaging in long, insightful conversations with him about our shared interest. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and perspective were truly invaluable to our community.

In these challenging times, I encourage us all to remember the spirit of camaraderie and support that Eddie embodied so well. He leaves behind a loving wife and two wonderful daughters. As a community, let's come together to offer them the same kindness and support Eddie freely gave to others.

For those who are inclined and able, a donation page has been set up to assist Eddie's family during this difficult period. Any contribution, no matter the size, will undoubtedly make a significant difference for them. You can find the link to donate here: https://everloved.com/life-of/eddie-robertson/.

Let's honor Eddie's memory by supporting his family in any way we can and keeping his spirit alive in our hearts and our community. He was truly one of the best guys I had the honor of knowing, and he will be deeply missed.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting Eddie's family. Let's keep his memory alive and continue to share the stories and laughter he brought into our lives. - Mark

Gentlemen,

As family and friends prepare to commemorate what would have been Eddie's 51st birthday tomorrow, I wanted to thank all who have posted here. I've shared this thread with his widow and daughters, and they are touched by the outpouring of kind words and fond memories.

Honor Eddie's legacy by treating people well and ensuring they know how you feel about them. I miss my dear friend every single day. However, my soul is at peace due to the fact I know how he felt about me, and I him, because we both told and showed each other often.

If any of you know a better man than Eddie Jerome Robertson, please introduce me. I surely am a better man for having known and loved him for 15+ years.

Be well,

Chris

Thank you Krabba. Sincerely. Eddie was an amazing dude and held my hand along the way when I got into shooting sports. I’ll never forget the first time I saw this big huge behemoth of a man and thinking “Whoa, what a beast.” But then he flashed that massive smile.

I always knew yall were pretty good friends. I never heard anyone speck a bad word about Wahoo. I didn’t know the man but the respect he was giving let me know what kind of man he was.
I hate he wasn’t present on the forum much anymore over the last few years but I know life leads you to things that are really important.
On a side note I always liked
You also. Wish you would have been more active on here like you were on the old forum.
Prayers to his family

He came by my house to pick up some cast iron cooking grates that I took off an early generation red top Weber Genesis grill he convinced me I should buy and rebuild, instead of buying a new one. He said the grates were for you. I had put on heavy stainless steel grates. Philistine that I am.

Hope you got the iron grates. I’ve still got that grill.

I’m glad you showed up to post here. I know Eddie was a good friend to you, and meant a lot to you. We got to be friends on instagram and to see how he followed his daughter’s progress through basketball was awesome. Eddie was an amazing dude, not just here but in real life. I’ve typed out responses for this thread multiple times since I heard the news and nothing seemed to capture the impact he had on people. This doesn’t either but it’s a start.
