I have a Chiappa Lever Action, 1892 in 357 Mag. I like it, it feels good, shots better than me.

I was just wonder, what is the over all thoughts on Chiappa Rifles?

I've been debating on getting rid of it or keep it. Any reason to get rid of it and trying to find a Winchester or JM Stamped Marlin?

I bought a 22lr AR upper of theirs at a gun show. It fired out of battery twice the first time I tried to use it. I sent it to them and they sent me back one with a front sight canted so bad I could not dial it in with the rear sight. I sold it for almost nothing and decided to never buy anything of theirs again.

That was probably 10 years ago.

I had a similar experience with one of their 22lr AR uppers. total junk. There were small voids in the barrel, like it was cast

You can get away with a lot manufacturing a .22. I would think anyone making a .357 would use more than pot metal. I do have an old Rossi .357 that I love and has never had any problems with.

I have an 1887 shotgun they made and it's like a tank.
