I have a couple of concerns I am working through before purchasing a rifle. I apologies for my lack of knowledge in advance. I plan to hunt with it and it would be nice to just have nice time at the range with it. I like the Tikkas just like a lot of people in the Interwebs.
Left hand Tikka 6.5cm stainless steel threaded would be the perfect idea. Unfortunately, not available stock.
Issues:
1. Stainless steel vs Blue. For a beginner, what is recommended? I don't mind maintenence. The bigger issue is Tikka only offers lite and superlite base models for left handed in stainless. None of the other version are offer that have other nice to have features.
2. I really like something with threaded barrel. Lite and superlite lefty models do not have these options. I would have to go with CTR or roughtech for example. They all are blued for lefties that have threaded barrels.
3. Anyone can help me here, is there a well known gunsmith, triangle area (Cary-HS), that can help me gain some knowledge in what I can do with the rifle if I would go with non-thread and/or non-coated options? If they can thread a lite or superlite that will solve my issues honestly.
Thansk all! Happy Holidays!
