Yesterday wanted to start a conversation with the seller about purchasing a grey sling It would not allow me, and there was no option to send a message in the for sale thread to seller.

1) Do a search for "bill of sale requirements" (we have at present about 3,382 threads here on that topic... should not be hard to find one)
2) Go to that thread and post hostile, hateful spew about the limited mental capacities of those who a) demand a BOS OR b) refuse to buy/sell with a bill of sale
3) Explain in detail your position (you may wish to read some of my posts to see what I mean by "in detail")

In no time you will be sailing down the road of "I am able to message folks about their for sale items"

You are welcome.
PS. Mods, you have my permission to make this helpful advice a permanent sticky

Many year ago, in the very early days of corporations moving from mainframes and terminals to servers and desktop computers, I was sitting with the senior IT guy of a fortune 500 company, lets call him Greg because that was his name. Greg and I are sitting in what was a server room at that time, basically a closet with a bunch of servers (big PCs) on the floor all connected to one keyboard and monitor. The mainframe guys had fancy rooms with raised floors, halon, etc but the new tech wasn’t considered mission critical yet even though it had replaced 75% of the terminals. Anyway Greg wants to move a file from a floppy disk he has in Chicago to my server in Raleigh. He puts it into a local machine, hits a few keys, it doesn’t anything, he says that since they don’t use it often sometimes the pc needs a reboot, so he hits the power button. We chat for a few seconds and I ask him why the monitor display hadn’t changed since he hit the power button. He looked at me, then the screen, then the front of the machine he’d just powered off. Turned to the phone on the wall, called his help desk manager, and said “if you get a call from engineering let them know that we know their OS2 server is down and we are working on a solution.”

I mention this to say that perhaps the response to all these posts is “we are aware of the issue and are work8ng on a solution.”

Another option would be to disallow creation of new threads outside the introduction/welcome section.
