Yep, I know.....new forum, new owners but a lot of "old" members.

I first discovered ya bag of expendables in the CSF days...then onto (LOL I typed CS.C and got this, had to put a period in there to get it to show as initials)...CSC and followed you here.

Looking back thats been a bunch of years...

So who came with the settlers of the new nation? LOL.

CSF and then I was one of the first 40-50 here. I don’t hold any ill will to the previous owners of CSF anymore. I didn’t know their reasons for selling and over time I realized it was theirs to to with as they wish. Same as the guys here. A lot of I got pissed at first but life has taught me most people in life will disappoint you in one way or the other. No need to take stuff personal. That’s why we are a free people for now.

I started at CSF not long before the move to the other site. On that December day in 2016 when we found out that the forum had been sold to the Canadians, I was one of the people on a group telephone call planning what to do next. Within a couple hours, probably less, CFF was up and running.

It was Christmas time and family events were in full swing. Our technical guys worked non-stop to improve and fix glitches in the new system. Many times they did this in the midst of children's Christmas plays, family dinners and gatherings, any time that they could find a few minutes to help out. Those guys were the ones that got us up and running. Today, we have 4,000 members and are growing every day.

I was on CSF for about 2 years. Started off lurking and buying stuff. Met a few members and hit it off with them.

Met @rantingredneck when he posted that someone stole his deer stand. I had a climber I didn’t need so I offered it to him.

Started posting more and being more active after that. Was one of the first 20 or so on the next site whose name shall not be mentioned. That was Wild West time. I think somebody even posted a gif of a girl blowing a horse in the humidor.

Became an admin and fought to keep it from turning into a cookie cutter place but sadly watched them trim it and market it to be sold. Didn’t realize that’s what they were doing at the time. Hindsight you know.

Was with Larry and the others on the conference calls to set this place up. I’m only here because @BurnedOutGeek thinks I have a cute butt.

This is the third regime I've been associated with.
It's like family, some good, some bad, but I'm still here.
I think the current group is the best and it has been getting better every day.

Started at CSC then received @drypowder email and moved here in the mass Exodus. Those were the best of time and the worst of times for me . Hated to leave CSC but what I left wasn't CSC anymore.
Man this place was really buzzing then new members migrating daily, new user names to learn and a lot of back and forth between us and the old site.
It's since settled down and became what it is now.
I saw @Jeppo post that we now have 2000 members a statement in itself on how far we've come in a short time

I’ve been around long enough that I often know things I shouldn’t, post things I probably shouldn’t, and have learned lessons a day or so after it would have been nice to have known. I also have been around enough of y’all to know what you will post before it’s posted, and yet still get shocked by the absolute consistency of the genius of some, the hilarity of others, and the utter moronic nature of yet others.

I'd been on CSF for a year or so with same moniker (some fellow there had a different user name, but had a "Great Gazoo" user icon). I missed out on the drama and didn't get any "word" as to CFF's formation, so I just missed out on the "charter" thing. No big deal, though.

Was on csf for a few months then the Canadians forum. Saw that spiral in flames. Got the email to come here and never looked back. Not sure what my membership number is here but I sure do love this place!

I came from the NCGO. Found this place in those December days of the year of our Lord 2016. Never looked back. I think I may have signed up at the crack smokers but I can’t remember. Spent most of my time on the NCGO. Glad to be here and glad to watch this place grow into what it has. We have a wonderful bunch here.....mostly. :D

Started at CFF and travelled the same path as most. I guess I’m probably one of the first few hundred here, I don’t know how to check.

Click on your own name to see your profile. Your sequential user number is in the URL if I recall correctly.

The lowest I’ve run across. #9 best I can tell.

Although there are more “membership numbers” than members, so I’m not not exactly sure how it works.

For anybody that’s curious...the link to your profile page contains your username and a number:

I’ve always assumed that’s the order in which people signed up. But there are 1200+ more of those numbers than there are members, so I don’t know exactly how it works.

That’s not looking accurate for some reason. If you check some of the original 9 founders they are showing higher numbers than they should.

Hmmmm makes me #23

Spouse was on CSF for a while. I lurked there under his account until I found a gun I wanted. That was very shortly before the Canadian site began. I was recruited as a Mod there very early on and stayed until the owners here called. I have not looked back. Love it here.

I can’t remember if that fight happened on a Friday night, but it should have.
Holy crap.

It was on a Friday.

I remember it...it was a day I was working my part-time gig w/ @Chdamn. It was right before Christmas, and we had shut down early because he and the other owner were taking all of us out to eat.

He's the one that told me about the abortion that had occurred at C.S.C. and that plans were in place for a new site.
