Who's been around awhile?

I thought maybe. I met him at gun shows, good dude.
Yes, you did- I used to sit with him at the Fayetteville shows frequently but not always.
That's where I first met you.

Bill, for some reason I was thinking I joined CSF earlier than 2008, as it seems like a longer road to today. Over time all the alpha shit got to be a bit much on the commando forums, so these days I'm a lurker. I still check in everyday. I've met hundreds myself from these ever-evolving gun forums, in trade deals or gatherings.

I really enjoyed (and miss) the Thrillhill gatherings. Nothing like waking up to a deer with a slit throat in the back of my truck. ;) I have some good pics from those days. I need to take a Saturday to drive up and visit you.

Safe corn-teen and Happy Boog to you all.

When did Crack Smoking Canadians start?
When did CSF start?
When did the Canadians buy?
Was there another name in there somewhere?
Can someone put together a simple timeline?
CSF started in July 07
Crack Smoking Canadians.... I can't remember 2011 or 2012 maybe?
CFF Dec 2016

Crack Smoking Canadians started in 2012.

Epic situation that @BurnedOutGeek 's nephew experienced a very serious injury that allowed the members to rally together and help with some things the family was going through.

Let me step aside so @BurnedOutGeek can do this story justice.

@Millie theres really no way possible to even describe it, and unfortunately you have to venture back to the other douchenozzle hangout to view it.

Basic rundown was my nephew fell out of a tree, and shattered his 5 vertebra in his neck, and was paralyzed from the neck down on Easter Sunday. amazing folks we have here are a huge part of how I managed to cope with the tragedy.

If you have facebook you can check it out here, and if you have more time there's a video they made as well.

I'll have to see if I can dig up some of the other pictures.

Funny thing about that old thread, most the people are still the same, and you can see how the place was cleansed. Especially those that had a ton of time invested. We we treated super well... as for the couple pictured earlier here, they can GFT's - they know what they've said and done.

How is he doing? Healed up?

Started at Crack Smoking Canadians then received @drypowder email and moved here in the mass Exodus. Those were the best of time and the worst of times for me . Hated to leave Crack Smoking Canadians but what I left wasn't Crack Smoking Canadians anymore.
Man this place was really buzzing then new members migrating daily, new user names to learn and a lot of back and forth between us and the old site.

Same basic story for me also.

He's doing really well. Might have some big news this summer to share if all goes as planned for him.

He and his girlfriend at his sister Logan's wedding last year

He started his towing business with this

Been around since the first iteration of what has now been 3 or 4 different forums.... Met some great folks and made some life long friends. Been a good ride and look forward to many more years and hopefully the last forum change..... The last change was the hardest as those folks just absolutely sold us out and decided that their pocket books were worth more than a promise they made to those of us who purchased lifetime memberships..... Looks like my midget self is member #63......

Joined the Canadian site in 2012 after chatting with someone in a pawn shop in either Raleigh or Charlotte don't recall who that was. Made the move here as soon as the bat signal went up. Canada seems to be nothing more than a classified site these days. Settler #188 checking in.

CSF = 2007
C.s.c = 2012
Merger of csf and c.s.c = 2013
Sellout to Canada = 2016
CFFFTW = the next day... 2016

I think I got on CSF around mid '08. Before that it was FruggalSqurills (lol) and something FALrifle something.
I was not a heavy poster and first trade I did was with @thrillhill . After taking on the phone I thought I was going to meet some older guy- turned out to younger guy lol.
I was at the first get together he had- still think there are some semi-nudes of me floating around from that- and meet a few other oddballs there.
Here and AR15.com are the only gun places I really check into. But I use the same name at all of them- I mean I have had it from my .aol days!

Nooneimportant, Lewis, took those pics. He rode up with me that day. You had the S250 Comm shack trailer you'd built. I wanted one of those after that. You bought your first HF radio, Icom IC735, from me and I think a tower. Good times, Mickey.

I see @gunbelt and @mj1angier both mention Frugal Squirrels.

Man. I hadn't thought about that place in a long time. You talk about spectacular forum implosions. That one was epic. Car forums and gun forums can be bad enough when folks start squabbling. But man, prepper forums tend to really do it right! LOL!

The original owner sold to another fella and they started purging all the Catholics and anybody else they didn't deem to be "appropriate christians". I thought it was a bad joke at first. Well, I guess now it kinda is.

Howard I am pretty sure you started there as soon as they opened the door in 2007. I was not on arfcom at the time and did not get to see the idea develop in the Hometown section there.

I kinda stumbled over it accidentally because I was trying to track down some old surplus stuff. You were on the tail end of selling a crap load of stuff and the search results took me to one of your posts. I can't remember what it was but I bought some old stock or something from you and I think I gave you a belt (minus bullets) for some kind of German MG. It's been a minute or two since then and my recall is not what it once was.
If it ever was. LOL!

I remember that deer. Tasted pretty good when we ate it. Hint of pineapple. And smoke.

Oh man. The way back machine.
I joined CSF and NCGO in 2010. My user name with both was Judah Ben-Hur, a tribute to the greatest movie ever made.
I was racing Supermoto motorcycles and most of my time before 2010 was occupied with that. Then the tracks started to become victims of the recession and began closing.
I've always had guns and always loved the sport. I fit in quite a bit if shooting during my racing schedule, but when the racing cooled off that's when I started to play with the guns more and more.
The biker gangs call themselves 1% er's, the Oathkeepers 3% er's, but in Supermoto we call ourselves the 0% er's since no-one likes us lol. We were hooligans that didn't care so much about bending the rules.
So like any good 0% er...I went looking for other 0% er's who were into guns and that's how I found you mugs. :p

Well that sure beats a shaved head, like happened to a former coworker, or a questionable tattoo. :p

I lived many years in Sugar Grove KY. Which is in Butler county. There's a town named Jetson. There has to be a murder for the police to go into the area. As rough as anywhere in Eastern KY. There's a group there called the Jetson Hog Fuxxkers. When anyone passes out at a party they have a branding iron with JHF on it. And they brand it on the passed out persons ass. I've seen it done numerous times. Needless to say I never passed out at their parties.

I joined CSF back in 09 I think. @Tim found me on the smith and Wesson forum and invited me over.

Lemme-see.....I met the traitors from Canada at a gun show here in Clt and didn’t really care for em, seemed too feminine to me. Then slid over here in 2016.
Now that you mention it. Did you shake hands with those 2?
