Became an admin and fought to keep it from turning into a cookie cutter place but sadly watched them trim it and market it to be sold. Didn’t realize that’s what they were doing at the time. Hindsight you know.

Was with Larry and the others on the conference calls to set this place up. I’m only here because @BurnedOutGeek thinks I have a cute butt.

I was in the dentist chair when another mod called to say the site had been sold. I think the new site was propped up by the following day.
 
Don't even try and deny you still have a copy of that pic squirrelled away somewhere.

Other option was most of them were busy getting a plan in place on their conf call. Host/server/etc.

The first 100 or so might’ve signed up in the first hour, so the order doesn’t really matter. Just a theory.
 
Was on NCGO when the Canadians took over. It got weird pretty fast and heard rumors of people going to a new site but new owners would take down or block any mention of new site. Someone posted a descrambler saying it would let you know new sites name. I thought no way will this stupid thing work. well here I am and never looked back.

I was there too. I posted the info for this site in morse code. Took'em a few days before they realized what it was. :p
 
I was on CSF around 2008 or 09 and moved with the family till we landed here. Somewhere along that time a @Geezer extended a hand of friendship and his posting content was very aligned with what I had known during my life on this planet so we connected. I simply can't say enough about the other ones on here who have made my life much better and also some who have moved on for various reasons. I appreciate their efforts also which helped steer this ship from birth to the 4,000 + members we have on here now.

This has been so much more to me than a firearms forum and I sincerely appreciate that. It's an internet hangout for me and doubles as a very diverse information center for about anything one could possibly want to talk or learn about. At least that is what it has turned out to be for me.

I'm still humbled to be one small part of such a great group of people on here. Let's work together and keep this forum community moving forward so others can enjoy the same things we have. I have found out in life that things will always mean more to you when you put some skin in the game.

Life is good...……...life is so very good.

I find a definite slant to the news I get here on CFF. Were it not for CNN, I might actually believe Nancy Pelosi is a bad person. ;)

I think I got into the forum back in 2005 or thereabouts. Hard to recall. Didn't enjoy it much til this'n.

IIRC, I joined Carolina Shooters Club, Carolina Shooters Forum and something else... not sure what order.

Started at C S C for a few years, dont know how long
Came here the day (maybe, or the next) that it started.
 
I started with CSF too, 2007-2008 ish .
Even joined a forum started I think by a guy named Howard, during the initial blowout w/Trazar.
Who remembers Demon? He had some numbers in his name too. He was a rascal.

Is NCGO still running? Never felt a connection there.

For those of you who don't know Brangus....hell of a nice guy.

For those that don't know me, let's just say I used to tie A LOT of paracord at gun shows.

Glad to see this post rolling....good to see some names I remember.

Hmmm, mine shows 488- which should be about right since I was somewhat "otherwise engaged" with having some of my guts removed in Dec 2016.

Not sure for me, but I remember calling Brian on Dec 16th I think, asking WTF is going on.
I do remember seeing the train wreck coming. I have trusted some here to check on my wife
when I've been out of town. And at least one member has stayed at my home.
And met many good people.
 
I joined CSF around 08. Not long after I was hosting meets/shoots at my place. Got to know quite a few folks, made some great friends then they got wayyyyyy to big probably 50 people showed to the last public one. The camp out we had at my place was probably one of the funnest birthdays I’ve ever had. Some laughs at @dorton expense but he took it with a smile.

Well. I was a stalker at csf (never joined).

Then joined CSC sometime in 2010.

I juat remember that I saved up to become a lifemember there. Then they went full dumb. I was super disappointed....

According to that info above. I'm number 259 for better or worse.

Specifically giving the old site admin my opinion about the rabblerousers who left and someone linking the new site to me. Maybe it was Scott? I don't really recall.

But this is my happy place.
 
Was on csf way back in the day. Found a post from @thrillhill and found out we were like 6 miles from each other, and that meeting made a bond that I doubt can ever be broken. He introduced me to @rantingredneck (who became another pal) and I told him I'd be happy to help if I could. It seemed he and kevin were the only ones able to keep the place going once trazars Dumaz went ghost and it was falling apart then csc was born. I wont go into the rest of the drama, we all know how that went, and there's a couple people that I'll likely never speak to again because of it.

And @Chdamn does have a cute butt, but that smooth glossy dome is what really gets me going.
 
Found the Cee Sss Cee a few years back when I decided to take my guns and funds someplace else after I retire. Moved to CFF when the Canadians infiltrated. Looking forward to this summer when I can put the liberal hellscape where I live now in my rearview and not look back. Hope the new house is done by then.
 
In 2007 I was in the hometown part if the AR15dot com site and saw a invite to join a new regional site called carolinashhotersforum. When I joined there were 300 or so members at the time.

Been here ever since. I do remember the exodus well. To bad that the video that "the Chicken" put up was taken down. Ever time I watched it I laughed my ass off. I digress.

Best damn people you'll ever meet is what I say about this group. We will fight about mayonnaise and banana pudding, but ask for help and see who has your back. Great people here.
