I've been using Starting Strength guide for the past year on and off. But looking to change things up and going to a kettle bell program.
I have this book, I love this book, very simple program with very specific instructions.I have heard this is good.

I was doing a basic routine from an older kettlebell book. Really just a circuit for all around fitness. But Between that and all the tree work I have done up on the mountians my back needed a break. Going to ease back in this week.
Thanks for posting! This sounds right up my alley. I need to get back in shape and can only mountain bike 1-2x/wk max. I also hate running and recently started experiencing pain in my heel.
Just need to find a good deal on some kettle bells now.

What should a woman start out with, kettle bell weight?
A healthy woman should be able use a 15lb bell according to the link. I'm using a 10 to learn the techniques, then will move up to a 35lb.
From the article: One 16 kilo weight if you’re a man, or 8 kilo if you’re a woman, will get it done for most people.
I do like it so far, I was sucking wind after the 3rd round last night.
Thanks. My wife started with a 10lb KB two years ago, and is now using 2x35lbs. Without fail, no excuses, 4 days a week. Maybe that will help with input for women?
Thanks.
In a male dominated forum, it's good to hear what other women are doing (wrt the exercise and kb use).
Wouldn't hurt me a bit to start a routine with weights for strength training.
I'll keep an eye on this thread.
I wish I could get motivated to get back in shape, but all this talk of exercise makes me want another cup of coffee and a cigarette.
Thanks.
