SE NC. Anyone interested in a meetup? Leland, Shallotte, Lumberton, F.ville?

Just seeing if there is any interest in having an informal lunch meetup somewhere in our area? Tell some lies and yarns, etc. And if so any ideas as to where to meet? Not many places around Bladen county for a private room except a Mexican place in E.town.

I'd be up for Fayetteville. I go there about once a week for shooting.
It would be nice to have a lunch in this part of the state, so the others don't have all the fun!!

I am in...and I like both San Jose's and El Patrons, but closer to Fayetteville might draw more folks.

I'm in Shallotte. I'll be interested if it's not too far away.

I’m definitely in. Recently retired I’ve got time on my hands.

I might be persuaded into coming out from under my rock.

Which Mexican joint is the one with the pecan grove next to it at the edge of E-town? Love that place. My in-laws live in White Lake so I'm down there a lot.

If we can pull this off then next time we'll meet somewhere east of there, like Wilmywood or Shallotte. Spread the punishment so to speak.

San Jose. I was just there and the had a fantastic "California" burrito.

If we picked E.town then we could draw some folks from Wilmywood and Shallotte but it may be to far for the western crowd.

I wouldn't mind meeting up. I'm not close to anywhere. Fayetteville is a little closer than Wilmington.

Just so you know, I'm too old for a rowdy crowd .

Deep Run is about 1.5 hours from E.town. About the same distance and time to F.ville.

E.town is about an hours drive for just about everyone else.

UR IN CHARGE BIG SARGE

OK. This is the place. It's about an hour from everyone (except for me it's only 20 minutes but I'm in charge!). If we can pull this off then we will pick someone else for the next get-together.

I will check and see if they have any Covid restrictions.


Now to pick a time? That's the big one. We'll start with a Saturday? I'm retired so every day is the same as the next.

Unless it lands on a hard stop for me, I’m down for fajita texanas and a bucket of coronitas. 30-45 mins for me.

For obvious reasons, probably need to avoid Valentine’s Day.

Looks like Rockchucker and myself so far.

I should be able to make that, depending on time and date.

I’ll be there, and my wife @Tommiegirl wants to come too. For those who are wondering, San Jose is a great restaurant, very reasonably priced too. We’ve eaten there many times.

Good food down there. Unfortunately won’t be able to make it this time though.

I think my wife is coming too. She likes DA colt revolvers from the 20-30's.

Good, we can talk about my recently purchased Colt Official Police 22 revolver.

I believe my wife and I can make that. It’s a 90 drive but then I love to drive....

My in-laws live in White Lake. My FIL just had heart surgery so we'll be down every weekend we can for a while. If I'm in town I'll be there.

I'm going to check with the restaurant today and see if we can get one of the private rooms. Please let me know if you are still coming. A simple YES or NO will suffice. LOL!

It'll be close for me. Mrs.Fingers is "Dr.Fingers". She's gotta round on patients first thing at our hospital and then we're driving down from Greenville. I'll be a little late if at all. How long do you think you guys will hang out?

I guess it depends on the length of the stories and the outrageous lies about firearms and how good we can all shoot.

Dang it!! I was scrolling this thread hoping for 2/13. Shari and I are out of town this weekend....

We are definitely in for the next one, though.

If we could do the 13th or 20th, probably have more folks attending
