Yaphet Frederick Kotto was an American actor known for numerous film roles, as well as starring in the NBC television series Homicide: Life on the Street as Lieutenant Al Giardello. His films include the science-fiction/horror film Alien, and the Arnold Schwarzenegger science-fiction/action film The Running Man. He played Mr. Big in the James Bond film Live and Let Die, 1973. Coincidence in virtually all SCI-FI moves, the black actor always dies.
