Chauvin verdict at 4:30....

Guys, we should all just be reminding people as they go out tonight and celebrate in their own special way to lift with their knees and not their backs as they take home their new TVs.

Yeah I did that and tore my quad. So pick your poison if you are an older guy.

Queue the riots!!

I hope so. I hope they burn it all down tonight. And I hope good people are already out of there. Let them show the world who they really are. If no riots there will be much gloating and a quest for more heads. Officer Chauvin won’t be the last. They are just getting started. History shows us this.

Here’s my take. Hard to go against an emotional 10 minute video.
Chauvin was a cop for 20 years, did they ask him how many times based on the training he received he used that same technique on uncooperative individual and how many died.

If it’s in honor of George then you can just crack open the fentanyl. I hear it was his drug of choice

Watched some of Dershowitz on Court TV. He is of the opinion this all goes down on appeal. In part due to the virtue signaling politicians sticking their self aggrandizing noses in it. Looking at you crazy aunt Maxine. It would be a fascinating outcome to have to re try the case because of their public virtue signaling and pandering. Would be terrible for the family but would serve the politicians right.

He also compared how BLM protested and made threats to how the KKK used to do the same or these cases. Apparently SCOTUS has taken that kind of pressure into account before and he thinks they might again.

And before anyone gets too wound up. I don't care one bit that he's going to jail. I think I've been clear enough on what I think went down.

he didnt testify, plead the 5th

I don’t care if he went to jail either as long as it was done fairly and impartially. If the 12 jurors REALLY felt he was guilty from the EVIDENCE presented and were free from intimidation and jury tampering then ok he got what was due process. My problem is I don’t think he got a fair shake based off the media bias and most recently Maxine’s statements and maybe even Joe’s statement

The whole problem I have is this. If they railroaded him and voted guilty on all 3 charges because they were scared for their lives and property from the threats of BLM, and such and our court system lets it stand then our jury box is gone, along with our ballot box that we lost in November of 2020

BLM type groups are trying to intimidate be it at polling places like previously mentioned with batons and such or be it the threat of rioting and coming after you for how you vote or who you give your money to. It’s craziness for sure and it’s what the KKK did like @chiefjason said earlier

Was not expecting that. I've been watching the trial, and felt that there was enough doubt to acquit on murder 2 and 3, but thought he'd catch guilty for the manslaughter.

Unfortunately, Maxine Water' speech opened the door for a overturning of the trial. The judge said as much in court. Which, in my inexpert opinion, would tend to taint the jury. If they already know the ruling will be overturned, why not rule guilty on all, and limit the riots?

As such, it's hard to see this as a definitive ruling, so I think we just kicked the can down the road. Maybe in the appeal, it'll be less of a circus, so there'll be less concerns about rioting.

On a related note, I think the ruling should send a clear message to cops. You're not wanted. I'm with Tim Pool on this, I think most cops should just resign. If you're not wanted, back out. We get what we deserve. The people have spoken, let if happen.

I highly doubt there were any truly unbiased jurors and unfortunately, it’s another nail in the coffin of America’s justice system.
We lost the ballot box in November and now the Jury box.

I think they kicked the can on it too. I don’t care if they voted guilty on all 3 or innocent they should have been sequestered the entire trial and free from intimidation. I simply don’t think that happened.

Unbelievable. I was convinced OJ would be convicted too. Facts do not matter in these cases. Feels almost as bad as Trump's "loss." This country is screwed up. Straight out of Kafka.

I have no clue how the jury got “reasonable doubt” with contradictory testimony in training standards/UOF standards and battling expert witnesses on drug toxicity and cause of death.

Everything I was taught in training lined up with the defense testimony.

Obtain physical control, detain, call ambulance if you perceive suspect is in imminent danger.

If it’s screaming, it’s breathing.

Positional restraints are a lower level of force than striking (soft empty hand control).

The real threat with neck restraint is compression of the carotid artery, because actually asphyxiation through trachea compression takes a huge amount of crushing force. If they don’t pass out in ten-fifteen seconds and they’re still making noise, you can basically stay in that position all day.

Meanwhile, the guy that shot Daniel Shaver walked...

Convict on all three? Set up for guilty. Don’t understand how you can charge a man three times for one crime all being murder. For me he is guilty of something but not all.
I posted #56 about lesser charges, the link explains it.

Now the other officers who did nothing to stop Chauvin will have their day in court.

There is nothing to celebrate here. Chauvin may deserve punishment. I didn’t see all of the evidence the jury did, so I won’t question their judgement. But that city is going to keep suffering because a drug addict, thug d-bag and his actions. Nobody wins in this one. I’m sure all the good people there and the. business owners will not be celebrating the destruction of their city and lives by a bunch of useful idiots that are being used. It’s sad all the way around.

IMO the problem is we have segments of society that don’t want to live by the Judeo-Christian laws and society that has evolved here over the years. While not perfect it has been pretty successful. We basically have a clash of cultures. So the options seem to be handle it like Europe and have no-go zones where certain areas police themselves. They will be run by ethnic organized crime groups. Or enforce laws and have a fair and honest justice system. And clean up the corrupt cities that have allowed it to build to this point.

I don’t see any of that happening soon. The most likely scenario is a slow move toward the first option. Cops quit, they lower standards and hire worse cops. We have more problems. And some of the wacky left wings cities create their own little no-go zones. Hope I am wrong.

Agree on the numerous charges but the link also says “Although the offenses can be charged together, the accused cannot be found guilty of both offenses because they are both parts of the same crime (the lesser offense is part of the greater offense).” Still trying to figure out the guilty on all charges, unless they are saying the charges are for different aspects of the whole affair
