Y’all still do these at Pineville Tavern? Ever considered north Charlotte or close to Concord? I’d like to come but I can’t get away that long. Just curious. Not trying to stir up anything

Still doing them there. Just can’t find a better spot anywhere else. 😁

But pick any other date, and somewhere in north Charlotte or Concord. I’m sure some others around here would be able to make it.

Heck, I’m about as north Charlotte as you can get, considering it’s <1/4 mile to the Charlotte/Huntersville border from me…and I do eat more than once a month. 😎

I eat lunch more than once a month... just sayin'
Got someplace in mind?

I don’t know what’s good down that way. I only come to Concord to Bass Pro and usually end up eat a Chick Fil A or On the Border or Razzoos. I’m open to anything though. Just a thought

Not unless y’all want to come back to Nicks in Welcome sometime. I may revive that thread and see if there’s any interest in that. Haha

I don't know of any place around the Concord area that would have an area where we could get our group together and put up with all the stuff that gets taken into Don's place - guns, ammo, suppressors and open carry.

If anyone wanted to do dinner, their is an old fashioned fish camp, technically in Concord, but next to Kannapolis, that is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. They have a back dining room for bigger groups and only take cash. We typically go on Thursday nights for shrimp and Saturday nights for fish. Good food and off the beaten path away from all the traffic.

I'm in.

Don is probably the only one in NC that will put up with us in that capacity.

I'm in for just about anywhere BUT seafood. Now I don't have to eat, being allergic to seafood but being in the same building, with it airborne, nope. Can't even do that.

I’m so sorry. That must suck. My wife can’t eat crab or she’ll be up all night hugging the trashcan. And she loves crab

Like sucks hind tit. Wasn't allergic to that and now numerous things now. After a severe motorcycle accident and years of meds. There is less I can eat now than ever before

Ok…here’s a new thread.

When do you plan on coming to BPS again?

I’d be down for a N CLT/Concord lunch. Normally I’m weekends only, due to work, but I’m on parental leave the next few weeks.

Well if I happen to be in the area I would gladly do lunch.

We could do it again at Rick’s or Nick’s in Welcome. ;)

We could do both Welcome and Charlotte/Concord. I eat lunch everyday haha. But can’t do Rick’s. They closed the doors

Viva chicken is pretty good, and Tacos for Life are both @ Concord Mills.
Steves in Harrisburg is pretty good also.

Seating can be difficult at Viva, it gets packed around lunch time. Jason’s Deli, a few doors down, has a ton of seating plus you get free ice cream after your meal 🙂

The first world problem around that area is there are so many choices.

Viva Chicken is dead to me once they got rid of the Wow Lomito sandwich. Can’t stand Tacos For Life, but I’d go and just get a drink.

If it was a little cooler, there would be a couple options where we could sit outside and not annoy everybody around us:
- On The Border
- Bad Daddy’s
- Freddy’s
- Tacos For Life

Haven’t been in Razzoo’s in years, but I’ve actually met a couple CFF members there before.

PDQ is pretty basic (chicken, chicken or chicken) and has a side room we could probably “take over” if we met at 11:30.

Bad Daddy’s would probably work.

Texas Roadhouse seems to be too crowded, and might not even be open for lunch last I checked.

Hooters and Twin Peaks are there, but no idea what those two locations are like inside (been to both chains, just not those specific ones).

Outback is there, and we go once a month or so…but that location has consistently been really slow.

Freddy’s is quick and easy, but we’d probably annoy the rest of the customers.

Jim and Nicks has never been worth what I paid.

Sonny’s is there and wouldn’t be too bad.

Blaze pizza would probably be too small.

Cracker Barrel might work.

There’s a new restaurant (PJ’s, BJ’s, something?) right near Outback that seemed a little pricey but might be the kind of place you could hang out.

And a couple dozen more options.

The number in our party will make a big difference. Once we pick a date, we can put up a poll and get a better idea. I’d say 8 or less and we’d be fine most places. But if 15 say they’re coming, we’d need to limit the choices.

Just waiting on @Crankbait to give us a date. 😁

Iron Thunder is better than both IMO.

I think Bad Daddy’s is one of the better options.
BD’s would be fine with me. And if would give us an outside option if the weather permits (meaning <80° 🥵).

Never been in Iron Thunder, though.

I Agree, sad to hear Tacos 4 life sucks…
Wife loves it. Son and I don’t. And we’re both exceptionally picky…so don’t judge it by our opinions. 🤣🤣🤣

We have a Bad Daddy’s in Winston. It’s pretty darn good. Never heard of Iron Thunder. All I could think about is if Iron Man and Thor had a kid together

Iron Thunder is over near the Harley place. Never been, but all I hear is positive. Just don’t know what it’s like inside as far as seating goes.

Haha. What days during the week work best for y’all? It don’t necessarily have to be on a Friday.
I’d say just pick one and whoever can make it will show up.

If I had to pick, I’d say two weeks from now…and do it on Wed the 17th or Fri the 19th. Heck, we could even do it on the 18th and start a Third Thursday lunch to pair with the First Friday lunches!

And sounds like BDs or IT may be the best options.

Unless it's changed Iron Thunder has plenty of seating. And the food is on par with Dons

Agreed Iron Thunder seating should work out well for a medium sized group (8-12), and I’d bet they’d accommodate a larger group.

We use Iron Thunder to host our monthly Concerned Biker Association meeting. They have a large meeting/dining room that is adjacent to the pool hall. The food/menu has been good for the 20 or so years I’ve been there, and occasionally the scenery is attractive too.

Ok well I just looked up Iron Thunder and call me whatever you want but I won’t be able to do that one. I will do Big Daddys if that’s OK.

Also can we make it on that Thursday at the 18th? My daughters have gymnastics on Friday morning starting this month. I forgot. And it’s hard to ask grandparents to get three girls ready to take. Haha

Count me out at big daddy's. Last time we ate there all 7 ended up with food poisoning
