My wife got on a kick of buying NC liquor. So far, our favorites are:
1000 Piers Gin: Anise and citrus forward gin with a floral finish. The wife calls it (in case gin lovers are reading this) Monkey 47 Lite.
Cape Fear Rum: Smooth and a tiny bit spicy with lovely cream notes.
Krupknikas: You have to try this. Sweet and spicy version of a Polish classic.
The Uncatchable (I had the strawberry): a lovely example of a Southern sour mash spirit. (DON'T eat the berries. They taste like berry rubbing alcohol.)
Drumlish: I have not ever had REAL Irish poitin (poteen), but this version is fun and approachable. Smooth and beautifully spiced with a whisky finish and no hint of barrel to be found. One of my personal favorites.
How about other folks share their NC produced favorites so I have a list of new things to try?
