Got a weekend planned for Linville Gorge this coming weekend. Couple of routes planned out and a couple of places pinned for camping.
Not going ultralight like last trip, and taking the new kelty again with the usual shelter and bedding warbonnet ridgerunner, cloudburst tarp, top and bottom quilts. Mountainsmith trekking poles for both hiking and used as spreader bars for my hammock.
For clothing:
Dry on the fly pants
Dry on the fly shorts
Couple dri fit under armor shirts
2 pair of merino wool socks
Rain pants and jacket and a toboggan
Merrells low top hikers for shoes
Food is getting "cooked" for us since a few boys are working on their cooking merit badges (I've got a few things stored in reserve just in case). And of course coffee...
Cooking/meal prep:
Katadyn water filter
Solo stove 900 ml pot and trangia alcohol stove as a backup to natural materials.
40oz. Klean kanteen water bottle nested inside a GSI cup.
Few mountain house packs and snacks.
