AKA Colt Comanche
I’m perfectly fine with a 20 inch barrel. It IS superior at range. I’m not playing dress-up though i’ll admit I first got interested after seeing the deputies in First Blood as a kid, but when I held one for the first time I knew I needed it. I’ve wanted an older AR my entire life, sick of tiny carbines and front heavy barrel, and triangular handguards cup my hand great & give a better grip than circular ribbed ones, especially those stupid thick M4 ones even without a quad-rail. Also I LIKE IRON SIGHTS, and if I ever needed a scope it’s more efficient mounted higher. As I said before, I like what I like & i’m good with what I like. I just can’t afford it, I even changed the ad to say SP1 or slabside retro build just to see if I can get ANYTHING at all.Maybe because unless yer shooting service rifle matches, the 20" barrels with carrying handle are about as useful as tits on a boar. 4" extra barrel length (vs. a 16") on a .223 gives you just about jackshit in terms of accuracy or ballistics. If you wanna play operator, the barrel gets in the way of every effing thing & if the 20"er was so great, the military never woulda gone to the 14.5" M4.
If you just want it to play dress up, yer probably gonna hafta build it yerself, in which case I recommend you stop picking flyshit outta pepper, buy the effing parts already & quit damn whining about it.
