What advantages have you seen over the standard stock that comes with the breakdown model?
Stock/grip storage capabilities....Although I did separate/modify the buttplate on the factory take-down stock with a hinge and locking mechanism.
Also, when taken down, the forend/barrel assembly locks into the stock...

Would accuracy improve that much over the red dot/optic installed on receiver?
Got yours in just a standard backpack or anything special?
I think the theory with the optic mount is that it isn't affected by the how you put the rifle back together or tighten it down. Any slight differences won't show up in your point of aim if the optic is mounted correctly on the barrel section. It should always return to the correct zero.
Have any of y'all actually....I dunno.....backpacked with one of these? I'm wondering what the actual use case is other than "hey, look what I can do!", which, incidentally, is a perfectly good use case in itself.

I'll second CZ's coments...
Once fall/winter gets here, I'll tote it around. I'm not getting out in this weather unless 1) I'm working one of my jobs or 2) I've got stuff to do around the house that requires me to be outside.
I hate hot weather with a passion. Late fall/winter cannot get here soon enough and when it does, its duration is far too short.
Parts breakdown....
At least the bag is OEM.

I told y'all that hole is dark and deep......
This is my takedown kit.
Parts breakdown....
It is setup with a a Tacsol barrel and comp and a complete competition bolt from JWH Custom. Standard Ruger trigger guard with Volquartsen internals. Magpul Backpacker stock with 3 10 rounders inside. Magpul MS1 with QDs installed. I also have a setup on my hunting pack to attach this using those QD sockets. As pictured upthread.
Rear sight blade has been replaced by a one ragged hole aperture insert.
YHM picatinny extension over the Magpul Backpacker mount. This allows for a scope to be used as well as a red dot. Surprisingly this setup still allows use of irons through both mounts. I wish Magpul offered a longer backpacker mount. I may look into having something custom machined here.....but it works as is.
Vortex Viper Red dot on ADM QD mount. Have confirmed through many mounts/dismounts that this does return to zero.
Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 on UTG (I know....) QD mounts. Have not yet confirmed RTZ though they do mount rather solidly and seem well made for UTG (I know....). May upgrade to Warne later.
Pack also includes SR22 with front fiber optic sight and 4 mags. 2 of which have Wingman+5 extensions from Tandem Kross.
Pack also includes 2 BX25 magazines and 200 rounds CCI SV.
Cost breakdown....
Don't ask. I don't wanna know.....lol
thank you.... neet item!
Your barrel looks so much cooler than mine.
It is spendy to look that cool..... Great barrels though.
