Today during my lunch break I stopped by UPS to send of and RMR and slide that I’m having milled. RMR was in the factory box and I had the slide packaged up in brown wrapping paper and some tape. Guy takes them and asks me if these are “firearm parts”, I told him “no, it’s and optic and optic accessories”. He gave me some BS about how the ATF is “really monitoring this type of stuff” and that he wasn’t going to be able to accept my package.
I was completely blown away and told him that none of this stuff was a firearm nor could it be assembled into one. He told me that “there was no way to know if people could be sending parts to someone separately so they could assemble a firearm”.........at this point I knew I knew I was dealing with a whole new level of idiot so I took my stuff and left.
I guess I’ll be sending this stuff via USPS or Fedex. Part of me wants to contact UPS corporate but I wonder if it’s even worth my time?
