Pop Quiz ... Active Shooter What Would You Do?

Most all the Walmarts have a Automotive section near Sporting Goods which have a customer entrance/exit and a LOT OF TIRES ( you know, those things some ranges use for berms ?)

I cant speak to all, but I was in the Lexington WM a bit back and went in through the auto section - no problem.
BUT, getting OUT took the cashier in automotive to push a button to let me out. She told me they had a lot of theft out that door, so I'd not be surprised if others were like that.

Just saying.

And, again @leagal - guns are locked up. I dont know that you'll be able to operate them once they are out of the glass cases.

Good to know, haven't personally run into that. Still, a lot of cover in that area, customer cars, tires, racks, etc. Also generally far enough from the main entrance to not be a likely area of attention. I can figure out how to get the shop overhead doors open etc. if needed or duck into the used tire pile.

All of these are nirvana scenarios compared to the guy who is standing wide open at the main checkout, wallet in hand and no options.

I only found out because I was walking out after picking up pictures and about ran into the dang door haha
It wasnt opening, so I went to the register and they told me.

Avoid the tire lube express exits unless you plan on going through a window or have a buddy. They're all magnetically locked.

The recieving bays are also poor choices. You'll find an exit before them anyway but they tend to be cluttered up in ways that will bottleneck anyone trying to head that way.

Its also important to remember that some fire doors dont lead directly outside but into mini hallways that lead to the actual exit.

If you are able to go out the front door somehow dont slow down for the sliding doors they are designed to be rammed open in an emergency.

Also avoid the backrooms of Walmarts that have absorbed neighboring stores in strip malls. Their backrooms are typically inconsistent which can be disorienting in the confusion.
