My second favorite gun to shoot. 1955 Ruger Single-Six I inherited from my grandfather, who inherited from his. Got some holster wear and a broken grip but still shoots just fine. Goes with me every hunting trip. Hope to pass it to my children some day as well.
Pulled the plug on getting a 686+ to have fun with along with my Colt Python. After taking it home from the FFL and upon cleaning and further inspection, I realized there is an imperfection in the machining. Crazy dumb swivel marks and some pitting on the barrel. Guess what they say about S&W QC...
