§¢¥¶%@&$ Rain

Yup, luckily, it only got two of the rooms. Never touched the carpeted area.
Good luck to ya. Tomorrow night isn’t going to be pleasant.

Wreaked havoc on our septic system over here on the coast.
Plumbing just getting back to normal today.
Ditto here. My pump switch went out last weekend and I spent Friday morning digging trenches to let the water run off so we could fix it. It’s finally fixed but I am sick of having a waterlogged yard.

I have a rack made so that I can back my truck up to it and slide my camper shell off on rollers. It has big casters on it so I can move it around. I had it pushed over in the grass on the other side of the barnyard but needed to put my camper back on for a scuba trip to Florida this week. The grass was a swamp! I’d have sunk the truck in the grass, so I got the Jeep with the winch. Hooked it up and winched the damned thing through the swampy grass! Only left 2 small digs compared to swamping the truck and having to pull it out with the tractor and then fixing the yard!

My driveway was starting to dry out, I was getting worried I wasn't gonna have to make a few attempts at getting up or through it

We had our entire septic replaced a few years ago (5 I think). Instead of grading it flat or with an even rise, it has gentle furrows and every time it rains the little furrows hold water and it takes for-ever to absorb in the ground; then when it does, it's soupy and swampy and takes a while to dry out.

Mine can bitch all it wants if it will just stop belching that awful smell. And before anyone else says it: yes mine does stink. 💩
You should smell my front yard where my septic lines are. 💩💩💩 I think the neighbors are ready to go fund me connecting to the sewer system. Can't remember the last time the yard perked.

What?
Oh hell no bubble-boy. You're gonna stay here and be miserable with the rest of us. 🌁
Bwhahahahahaha! It’s terrible down here! 75 degrees and sunny, it took me a while to remember wha the sun looked and felt like! Shorts and t shirt weather!

Got more rain yesterday about 1pm north of Wake Co over the lake which was already high. This winter has been cold and wet and I'm ready for an early spring.

My weather app shows rain starting again Thursday night/ Friday morning and thru the whole next week🤬🤬🤬

Yup sucks for tree work. Makes everything super slick up in the trees and in the rigging. The yards are so saturated you can’t put a vehicle on them. Even walking and hauling debris out to the road makes the yard a mud bog.

Ever lived in a city where there was so much rain that it somehow overwhelms the storm drain lines and backs up the sewer lines? The entire neighborhood will have the contents of their basement out on the curb within a couple days. Lord help you if you have a carpeted floors and finished walls in your basement, you're in for some serious bacteria and mold issues.

Only a dozen houses in this neighborhood of probably 60 houses connected to the sewer system when the city graced us by running sewer through the neighborhood. We didn't want it but you can't stop city hall. We got charged big time per linear foot of road frontage when they ran it and had to pay for the hookup whether you hooked up to it or not. I get the tanked pumped every two years but I might change it to a year if this damnable rain keeps up. Won't be able buy a drop of rain this summer when the garden needs it, if the ground dries up enough to plant one.
