0w16

Holy moly thats thin. I thought 0w20 my wifes venza runs was thin enough. The acceptable burn rate from manufacturers these days is wilddddddd. Check your oil at every fill up. Im convinced all these lightweight oils are orders for planned engine obsolescence.........

Anyone have a great condition all mechanical diesel for sale........

. Gov and EPA for the win... scumbags.

Quoted from article above "The development of zero-weight (0W) motor oils came as a need to reduce emissions, improve fuel economy and engine efficiency while continuing to provide engine protection."
Plus the quicker your car dies the quicker they get taxes when you buy a new one. Assuming you're allowed to in the future.

Possibly a fluke but Toyota makes a good car. Fellow at my work drives a Venza 2012 Has 480,000 miles I have done brake jobs and such on the car for him. The engine and trans has never been opened up. Religious oil changes with Toyo spec oils.

Napa and others are selling house brand 0w16 now so it is cheaper than mobil one at least.
Has to be some awful tight bearing clearances for this crap and long term viability remains to be seen. With the rash of many manufacturers plagued by oil consumption these days I suspect it will only get worse.

0w8.....might want to get the extended warranty on that one.

I'll use water before I use pennzoil
I worked for a team that had Pennzoil as the primary sponsor. Pennzoil made a "special" oil just for us, was supposedly an exact copy of Mobile 1. When that didn't work out near as good as they planned, they started sending us cases of new empty gallon jugs. One of the truckies was sent to get Mobile 1 off the shelf from the O'Reilly's down the road from the race shop and spent the next few hours transferring it all into the yellow jugs.
