govt mandated imprisonment for those who haven't gotten the vaccine hardly qualifies as informed consent as the consent could easily be considered to be given under duress. Plus that island that was refusing to evacuate non-vaccinated people during a volcanic eruption... that sends a very strong message and somebody needs to hang for it.

We participated in a very small trial at work and our IRB determined that even though consent for "additional testing" must be agreed to for everybody we see, the new testing was beyond the scope of what normally would be considered under "additional testing" (new testing assay under the investigational new drug rules). One of our managers was overdue on his ethics training, specifically about nuremburg code. I had to notify regional management, track down everything he touched while overdue, assess potential impact, and oversee destruction of anything that might have been obtained under his watch.
