I regularly make hits on 18” steel at 600yds with 55gr. From an 11.5” 1:7….you just gotta know your rifle.

Great deal on this Winchester stuff. I’ve found it to be pretty close to other “M193” spec stuff.

I am shooting at 8” steel pie plates at Coleman’s Creek, and 55 grain bullets don’t get to 1,000 yards, unless you aim real high. Nobody uses 55 grainers for Service Rifle matches at 600 yards unless that is all they have available.
