12 days

I submitted mine on the 6th after waiting 3 months for it to come off backorder, I’m excited.

A friend claims to have seen several approved in three days over the last couple of weeks and one approved the next day.

They're not his and I didn't ask for any other details.
 
Dang. Maybe I need to buy another one. Been waiting since Nov 4 on one.

I guess you’re far away but I really like working with THSF. He pretty much takes care of everything. You can walk in and point at what you want with a grunt and still get good results.

Maybe other shops do the same.

I think they have the new employees trying to stay caught up with everything coming in now, and other employees trying to play catch-up on the old ones. I’ve heard of a bunch of older ones getting approved.

Yea I have this funny scene in my head where the frenetic new hire didn’t pay attention in training and is handling the paperwork as last in first out.

New form on top of the pile? Snatch it off the top and send it out while the bottom of the stack rots.

I heard today that have hired a contractor to process the newer ones that have been applied for. This will lower their average to the 90 day purposed time allowance. Now is the time if you are in the market.

I concur, I’m curious how much it will get backed up though with the influx of people going after cans. If it’s not in stock at your dealer they have to wait for a form 3 and it takes about 15 days to get it transferred before you can certify
 
I saw in a cars and guns fb group that someone got approved in 8 days. I guess it wasn’t an anomaly!

Yes. Suppressed shooting is where it’s at. Especially nice hunting because no earpro

I’d like to get another one in the works also
 
Heading to THSF in the morning to pick up my latest AR. Trying not to order a can while I’m there. Haven’t bought once since March ‘22. 😳

This is both bad and good….

Bad, if you are trying to purchase one.

Good, as it indicates suppressors are in high demand and becoming as popular as ever. The more folks that own suppressors, the more “mainstream” they become and that’s a win.👍

As demand for cans increases, it’ll likely stoke innovation/R&D, motivating folks to tap into a market where there is a need…more manufacturers, more production.

Yeah, this increased demand will likely spur an increase in price and if we ever do see suppressors removed from NFA regulation, I expect to see demand get even higher. Eventually, the market will become saturated, as it has with Stoner platform weapons and we’ll see prices fall.

My gut tells me another positive side effect with the lack of suppressor stock is the possibility of folks looking at other areas of the NFA while they are waiting for supply to catch up...doing F1s for SBRs/SBSs. It has gotten to the point where you can build a SBR, including the stamp, for less than we used to pay for a factory 16”+. What a time to be alive.👍

The more, the better.

I used to be a “purist”…never had a desire for short barrels, rails or flat uppers. Then, I assembled my first SBR and the more I used it, the more it grew on me, which led to another…and another.

Then, you get social media influencers like @BigWaylon that invite you to the range to get some time in shooting suppressed, put a bug in your ear and you jump into the F4 can game, which leads to another…and another….and another…lol.

Offer is open to anybody that can either meet at PHA, or lives within an hour or so of me and can shoot on their own property. If you want to see what shooting suppressed is like, just lemme know.

Rifle, pistol, rimfire, whatever. I don’t have one of everything, but I have enough for you to get an idea. 😎
 
THSF’s distributors were out of stock on the can I wanted, found in stock from PA and ordered two. Playing a game to see if I can have two cans out of jail by the end of April. My guess is it takes 10 months a piece.
 
I’m going to call ATF tomorrow and see if I can get the “it’s pending that’s all I know” line. (8 months) 🤷‍♂️
 
I got two pending. One is a F4 Trust pending since 11/4 (136days) and one is an F4 Individual submitted on Saturday (3 business days). It will be interesting how the ATF handles that since I doubt they will batch approve a trust and individual together (At least I've never seen it). I rarely ever (2-3%) do Trust unless it is something I want the wife to periodically use and the value is under $1000.

I just told another member the thought of the whole trust thing has always intimidated me a little. I’m sure there’s nothing by to it

I bought my first one on Monday. It got approved this morning while I was at work. Picked it up on my way home. 3 day wait.

May or may not have bought another when I picked it up.
