1974 - 2024

Bought this new in 1974. $179 If I remember correctly. Remington 700, 30-06. A lot of great hunting memories with this gun. Never a single fail of any kind. Never any parts repaired or replaced. I have absolutely no doubt that it can go another 50.

OMG-Not a big game hunter at all, but I bought one of these IDENTICAL TO THIS used in about 1988 or 1989. I could only afford a Simmons 4x or 6x scope (can't recall which) but when I put it "on paper" I could "clover leaf" 3 rounds at 100 yards using Federal Premium 168s! However, I didn't want to shoot it more than 6 or 8 times as it was a kicking gun. I never took game with it and sold it a couple years after. That brings back memories! 👍

Looks like my neighbors old 30-06. He just bought a new Tikka in 6.5 Creedmor. I told him he is messing with karma. That old Remington has taken a lot of deer.
