1993 Mustang convertible Summer edition

Are the miles considered high?
I wouldn’t pay “collector car” money for those miles, or the automatic. The white wheels, and white leather I think are the only things that the Summer Editions had different that I recall.

I've had several fox bodies and one was a convertible. I had it for a month or two before selling, the issue was the seat belt. I'm a tall guy and the seat belt came UP to my shoulder from behind, it's a weird feeling, always feeling like it was going to slip off. I didn't like it and didn't trust it. PSA for any tall folk.

Probably came with extra cowl shake. I remember the 93 and I lived through (somehow) 90s cars. Awesome to look at 😂

It wasn't till today that I learned that those white wheels were pearlescent when new. They put those on the red cars and the white cars. The yellow feature cars got chrome wheels.

Those little pony cars are a blast to drive.
Even with their modest horsepower ratings, that 300 ft lbs of torque will make you feel like you are going fast when rowing through those gears.

Not to mention sound way better than any 4 or 6 cyl, which is half the pleasure.

No replacement for displacement!

My wife thought my ’92 (or was it a ’93? what was my middle name again??) was sorta redneck, which I found highly offensive. I had to look a long time to find an LX body 5.0 5 speed with 58,000 miles in the condition this one was in. The only thing you might tell from the outside was it had been slightly lowered, and had lots of bolt on stuff under the hood. I have no idea why I sold it.

Parents had a ‘91 convertible “7-Up Edition” GT (gray ground effects and Forrest green body with white top). Same white leather interior. Stick shift 5.0. That thing boogeyed. I got to drive it occasionally. Not what you want to let a 16 year old teen boy do! I learned how to smoke a clutch real fast!!!

That was also a “Feature car” like the white one posted above. Just the previous year, or two maybe. I think they did feature cars for three years at the end of the run of Foxbodys

I had a 93 5.0 LX hatchback in Calypso Green.

Had.

Sigh...

That was a great looking color on those cars.

I thought so. Got it from Town and Country Ford.

I was just asking my wife who I sold it to or if I traded it in on something else. She can't remember, either.

I sold my '92 in 2015 after a year of ownership to a guy from NY in Clayton not far away. He apparently sold it a year later because I got a call from a guy wanting to talk about the car and how was it still so nice. He thought I had owned it since new. Sounded drunk. Turns out he had cerebral palsy. 40 years old and couldn’t drive but wanted to look at in his garage and crank it up and listen to it.

My mom bought a 93 Camaro Z28 automatic around the time I graduated high school in '92. She lived down in Charleston and I visited her right after she purchased it. She called me a few months later and asked why the tires would wear so quick on this car compared to her previous Camry. I didn't mention the 2 nights she let me take it out right after purchase. Fortunately we have a long standing story in our family about my grandmother, her mom and the '65 Tri-Power GTO my Papa bought her. He had to replace the tires after 2000 miles and he traded it in on a 65 Galaxie which she didn't light the tires up on as much. I love that women, 95 years old and my only living grandparent still living by herself in the upstate. She still drives to the grocery store weekly so if you are anywhere near East North St and Haywood Rd, be aware.
