Yea 3 inYou made a great choice! That revolver will last a lifetime.
Well done!
(3" barrel?)
Will doYou did fine! Looking foward to a range report.
Its still a big gun but with a 3in it hopefully can still be confortable to carry a 6 inch would be a cool range toy but would likey live in the safe.Always thought that was the perfect revolver barrel length.
I may never financially recover lolYou made an excellent first choice.... soon many more will follow you home....
the k frame may be a goal for next year next this year is is finish building an ar upper i have sitting around 👍@Hotdog
the L frame models are excellent especially with that 7th round capacity. If you get a chance to shoot a k frame (model 66 or 19) jump on it. I thought the K frame crowd was just being dramatic until I picked up a model 19 and was instantly amazed by it. the bore sits really low and it’s just incredibly sleek.
that is a beautiful sight maybe one day
Don't worry, as soon as you do, another beauty will drag you under it's spell.I may never financially recover lol

man i might have to steal that obi wan quoteExcellent choice OP! My first DA revolver was a 4" 686 from 1987. I still have and enjoy it.
I had a 3" 686+. It had the smoothest action right out of the box. I think that 7th chamber in the cylinder made for a fast lock-up. It was a tad heavy for daily carry, but you are correct, 7 rounds of .357 goodness felt comforting when I did carry it. I stupidly sold it and regret it. I shall have another.
dang nice shootinGreat Gun. Working Horse. Probably my favorite to shoot from. Very easy to tune.

I had light strikes in double action on a little 45acp revolver I got. It shot single action perfectly fine. I reload so I tested and found it happened with Winchester primers but not CCI oddly so I load “revolver ammo” using CCI primers to guarantee it will always go bang no matter what. Point is to try different ammo if it continues.RANGE REPORT!
so i finally picked up my gun from the ffl today and shot 60 rounds half 357 and half 38s i was way more accurate with the double action than i thought i would be it is very smooth and was highly impresed with how hard the 357 rang the steel. the 2nd and 3rd clynder both had light primer strikes on one round so i added a little lube and it seemed to fix the issue. it could have been my lack of experience with double action and not letting the trigger out all the way not sure if that is a thing again i am a novice with revolvers. but over all it is an absolutely beautiful gun that is a joy to shoot. but my confidence in it is still lacking bc of the light primer strikes do you guys have any idea what could be the cause? the ammo im useing is PMC bronze so not particularly bad stuff i dont think ? or was it just a brand new dry gun?
Them boys are just hanging out!
Honestly man im a bit disappointed i had to send it back to smith becaude the light primer strikes continued with various types of ammo i will post back on here when i get it back and let yall know if they take care of itView attachment 735049Boy, you've done it now.
