2-1/2 is the only length that works in my .410As Diehard said.
So why 2 1/2” and 3” 410 shells anyway?
I have run into older (pre 50s) HR single barrel 410s with 2 9/16” chambers. May be the reason for 2 1/2” shells?

When I was growing up in the 50s, I shot a lot of 2 1/2 #7s in my Stevens 94 410 3” chamber. They were cheaper and the squirrels didn’t seem to care.

Mini shells by Aguila are 1.75”. Work in singles, doubles, pumps. Not semi auto.Hey can you do the following with a 410 shot gun:
Fire 2-1/2 in a standard 410 2-3/4 inch chamber
Fire 2-1/2 in a standard 410 3 inch chamber
