After @Mr. Bggs sent me a glass I asked him where I could buy a bottle of their alpha batch. He told me I could order it from any ABC store with the code 66724.

Well that didn’t work. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the fault of the code and 2A Bourbon since the responses I was getting were “If it ain’t in my book I can’t order it.” Followed by:

So I let him know and they got on the stores and got it taken care of. I got it yesterday and I’m more that happy with the presentation.

I tried it before heading out last night and then again when we got home from midget wrestling.

The mash bill is a little higher in corn than I usually like but not nearly as high as Hooten & Young.

So it starts off with a little more sweetness than most, but I wouldn’t call it a sweet bourbon. The middle is dry and tight and the finish is interesting.

I couldn’t put my finger on it last night but I figured it out this morning. It has a hint of peanut in the aftertaste. Well, peanut isn’t exactly right. You know the way the skin on a roasted peanut tastes? It’s like that.

It’s a pleasant, burnt peanut flavor that honestly made me crave something salty to eat with it.

So go out and get you a bottle today and help support guys who are donating to 2A causes.

Thanks for the review and the support. We held a tasting in Wilmington yesterday and it must have gone well bc 200 bottles were ordered.

We are working on getting stocked in the abc warehouse next quarter which will hopefully make it available to every abc store in NC.

We've sold a little over 2000 bottles in Florida in 3 months and are now making our way into Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Texas.

A big thanks to chdamn, have gun will travel and everyone else that have helped us to grow. We have given $2000 to both the Second Amendment Foundation and Folds of Honor and are about to write them each another check. Thank you guys again!

We have a small chain here in town, Longhorn Liquor. I'm going to ask the guy to get some, or me one to try. Is the code 66724 still the one I need to use here?

Over in Houston, there is Total Wine & More. It's like a Walmart size store of alcohol. I'll be over that way before long and I'll check there.

No the code is only for nc abc stores. We are in a total wine in fl and trying to work out distribution for the one in Texas.

in the meantime, you can order online from 2abourbon.com and have it drop shipped to your door as long as you're not in an abc state.

When we work out where its going in Texas, I'll send ya a message where to find it.

Starting a liquor business from an abc state like NC is a real pita! The bossman is in talks with distributors in Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi right now. We hope to be in all of those states before the years up. That asking alot though.

Will be looking now when I go to the ABC store. I usually have no luck in Wake County but will have to check when visiting the in-laws in Holden beach or anytime I am outside of wake county lol

Lots of people have requested it with the order number 66724. Chdamn's experience is the first we heard about a store rejecting the request. Bossman is all over that bc they are supposed to order it if you request it. Hopefully next quarter we are in the abc warehouse and these problems will be no more.

Let me know when you get it in TW in Columbia, SC and I'll do a review on my YouTube channel!

Thanks. I think the case is kitschy, but the price is in market. Some day. I definitely want to try it.
Once we are in stores regularly it will be much easier. And yes the case is mostly for promotion. Lots of stores have started ordering plain bottles now that they have the word out.

Well crap… how do we find future tastings. I would have tried to come say hi.

Honestly, i had no idea he was doing one. Prolly doesn't want to bring the little guys for fear we wouldn't leave anything left to taste😋.

I'll ask him to tell me about future ones so i can give you boys the heads up.

So i just talked to the boss. As it turns out if you're buying just a bottle with no case in the state of nc (we call that a reload) the price is $68. Still comes with the metal topper. Just wanted to give a heads up.

The next tasting is in Person county on Nov 11th at the county line store. (Durham/ Person county line)

Tasting at a Angier location after that- date to be announced.

And he said several more tastings are coming after that.

We got 4 more barrels coming in Thursday so I'll be at mystic bottling it up. I'll post some pics

Be sure to let the big man know that I do 100% honest reviews. If I think it's great I'll say it's great and likewise if I think it's crap.

Understood. Right now we are trying to keep up with orders. Just got our last 100 sold today and an order from Wisconsin for 500 bottles of the 1000 we will bottle Thursday. I'll try to get ya some when we are caught back up with demand.

That’s awesome. Good for y’all.

Thanks. The distributor is one i reached out to. Hoping that pays off down the line for me.

Some guy wants to invest 20 million and open a distillery in Louisville with a laser tag shooting range attached.

One thing for sure, with this business there is something new happening everyday.

The Second tasting is at the club at high Hampton
265 high Hampton drive
Cashiers NC
Either oct 11th or 12th.
There will be drawings for prizes and cigar Smoking going on.

If anyone is interested in that one, i can find out the exact day. They are still finalizing.

Tastings in 5 cities in TN but I'm thinking you fellas aren't interested in that one. Pm me if you are and I'll get details.

He said more to come so stay tuned.

You guys need to do some tastings in western NC, like, oh, Hickory or Lenoir.

DOH - just saw your Cashiers post. TOO far west. LOL

A complete fluster cluck at the HP ABC today. They couldn’t find that number or any listing for your product. Eventually the manager found some listing at three different prices but none of them could be special ordered. He said maybe it was a special, one time item.

Eventually, he filled out some form indicating what I was interested in and said he’d submit it to Raleigh (who, said he, is not being responsive lately). He says he has big orders for High Point Market and can’t get anyone there to answer.

The problems never stop. Thank you for reporting jeppo. It seems certain people are not happy about us making waves.

I'll get the boss on it quick. In the meantime, pm me and i can direct you to a bottle and a free shirt for your trouble😉. I'm really sorry about these issues to those of you that have experienced them. Got news today that abc will stock us in their warehouse jan 1. Still not sure if they will stock in stores or just fulfill orders that are requested. This is an interesting look at how interference in free market over complicates things. We ain't giving up though. Wisconsin just ordered 500 bottles.

Bossman is on it. He said in the future put a dash in 66-724. I guess the dash is important.(even though people are ordering without the dash daily🙄) The different prices should be the price for a bottle with case and a bottle alone with no case. He's going to call tomorrow and chew them out. Raleigh abc board should know. We've been sending 30-100 bottles a day to them... we sent 55 this afternoon.
