So u got this gun back out after a long time away from it (remodeling a house no play time). I turned on the Sig reddot and I am seeing 3 circles out of the Reddot like it’s blurry with or without glasses. Out of my left eye it’s crystal clear both ways. Even had the wife check it. Clear for her. Grr this is the best I can get it with my camera

Sounds like the stig, but I’d say this… if your vision has changed that drastically it’s worth going to the eye doc to make sure everything is healthy.
Second that^^^^

My mom is blind in one eye because glaucoma snuck up on her when she wasn’t going in for annual exams.

Isn't that a feature?

😉

How the heck did you get the camera to photograph the defect if it’s in your eye? And how does switching eyeballs change what the camera sees? I’m confused.
I was trying to get a picture of the reticle to show what it is. That’s just blurry. What I see is it’s like 3 of them just offset a little.

He used the inter-ocular bluetooth interface.

How long of a time has it been since you got it out?

Close to 9 months. I have been noticing my right eye has been getting blurrier with my glasses. Over the course of about 35 years my eyes have only changed a little and sometimes not enough to even warrant new glasses. But I think I am doomed this time.

Astigmatism is easily and painlessly corrected by laser surgery. Check with your insurance, but it is worth the cost if this kind of thing bothers you. I think mine cost me 1 hour of my day, and most of that was just sitting in the waiting room. The laser took maybe 10 minutes from setup to completion. I didn’t feel anything, but my aimpoint and fastfire dots were sharply focused and round.

Going to call my eye Dr later today and start to get it taken care of.

To reinforce @Catfish question, @falconew have you quit drinking suddenly? That blur you see in the photo and the optic could be from the shakes.
The picture I took was the best I could get with my camera. It was taken to try and show what the reticle is in the Reddot. Probably should of used a manufacturer photo.

Why would I quit drinking? That’s dumb. I am married.

Spoke with my sister who is an optometrist this am. Yeppers time to call the dr.

So finally got to my eye doctor’s today. He ran a test. Didn’t like the results ran another one and is sending me to the ENT doctor to read the results and possibly schedule me for cataract surgery. At 49 years old

If they suggest cataract surgery, do it! I had similar vision problems, getting the cataracts done cleared that up. Easy and painless. There is a potential follow-up treatment with YAG laser, also very helpful, quick and painless. You will end up with a fixed-distance focus but that can be compensated for with reading glasses. I’m still a lousy shot though

That’s for sure

Feel your pain, though….

I’m 49 and I’ve had vision issues similar to yours going on about 3 years now. Sometimes, the dot on my sight looks like a cluster of grapes.

I wonder what test it was? I’ve had cataracts repaired, which are easy to diagnose, scars from cataract surgery repaired, torn retina repaired, detached retina repaired, and now up for a laser procedure to avert glaucoma, but an ENT was never involved.

It was more like a scan not test. Had a blue light and a red light in there that scanned my eye. The right eye they could not get it to scan correctly the left was like perfect. That’s when he cataracts. I think the ENT was mentioned because the dr is in the same group as them. Should be EENT

Not to hijack but the thought of having a laser shined in my eye scares the hell out of me. I have astigmatism and have worn glasses or contacts for years. I would love to not have to wear glasses but idk.

I’ve had a torn retina repaired with laser, and had scar tissue removed from a previous cataract surgery repaired with laser.

It’s like being inside a 1980’s video game. Not great, but no pain, and you get to walk out of the doctor's office with your vision.
