Hey y'all! I'd like to get a .30-06 bolt action rifle. However, the specific set of features I want on one is causing me to have trouble finding one that's "perfect!" for me. Custom work is definitely possible, but I'd rather not if I can avoid it. I wanted to see what y'all could recommend for commercially available models that meet the following criteria:
-Caliber of .30-06
-Threaded barrel for mounting a suppressor or muzzle brake
-detachable box magazine, reasonably-inexpensive to get multiples of, quick to reload, and at least 5, preferably 10 rounds capacity
-Lightweight (at least enough to comfortably carry around, preferably just a normal classic wooden hunting rifle stock with a lightweight-normal profile barrel)
-sub-MOA guarantee or at least high probability thereof
-sling mount for a bipod would be fantastic.
-Somewhere in the nebulously wide $400-$1400 range
There are tons of rifles out there that meet a *few* of these criteria, but I can't find any that meet *all* of them. For example, the Remington 700 SPS has a threaded-barreled .30-06, but the magazine is a 4rd hinged floorplate magazine. If I wanted a rifle in 308 or 6.5 creedmoor, I'd have options for days. But I specifically want .30-06 and that's throwing a wrench in my gears. It's weird because it's a combination of wanting typical hunting rifle features, and modern tactical features, and I'm wondering what the perfect rifle is for meeting in the middle of the two. Thanks!
Edit: Currently it's looking like the Savage Axis II Precision rifle is my best option, but I wanted to see if there are others. https://www.savagearms.com/content?p=firearms&a=product_summary&s=57553
