There are a few threads on the forum with recipes for .300BLK and the majority of loads are for 100gr-135gr or subs with 190gr-225gr. The more common .308cal bullets from 150gr-175gr are certainly useable, but are not exactly optimal for most applications other than punching holes in paper. One thing to be very mindful of with venturing into loading the 135gr-175gr bullet range is powder selection and keeping pressures under MAX. I think you should be ok with Hodgon CFE Black or IMR4227 while Win296 and H110 will likely be a bit too fast burning for the heavies. Is anyone using just 30 cal, 30-06, 308, bullets in the 150 range?
Are these expanding for you? Are you using a longer =>16" barrel in the 300BLK?I use 150 gr hornady soft point flat base bullets for 308 and 300 BO hunting ammo. Both work great for me.
