Question:
Can the 35 Remington be safely loaded to 50,000 psi chamber pressure IF used in a suitable action?
Maybe a bolt action or even the “magically new stronger lever actions” like the new 360 Buck Hammers use?
Just curious because this thing is driving me nuts just thinking about!

If the action can take the pressure then the next weakest link will be the case head itself. The question becomes is the 35 remington case head strong enough to take that pressure.
A good example of this is 277 fury vs 6.8x51. The 6.8 gets away with much higher pressure by having a steel case head .

10100 pounds over listed max pressure. My first question to someone interested in pursuing such a thing would be "WHY".

I have both a .35 Rem (Marlin 336), and a .358 Win (Custom Rem. 700), and if I had to pick one it would be the .358. Much more versatile in that I can download to .35 Rem velocities (lower recoil), or use the higher velocities and longer range of .358 loads.

I do agree that you can get a little better performance from the .35 Rem if you handload for the +P of stronger actions, and or use the better ballistics of Hornady Flextips.

I too would like more out of the 35rem....BUT...unless it is a gun designed for higher pressures and rechambered for the 35rem and your ONLY using YOUR reloads, then it is risky. I have a handi rifle in 35rem that's been rechambered to 358win. Absolutely amazing round and I agree to just getting one of these instead.
The reason for new calibers is more of a liability issue. That's not how they sell it but it's just a CYA. Newer powders , primers, etc. Make pressures higher and highly dangerous in older guns so they rename it.
Now the newer powders kept within company limits can give you better ballistics within same pressures. LEVEREVOLUTION is a great one for the 35rem.
Enough of my rambling and thanks for tolerating it....lol

Marlin chambered the 356 and 307 Winchester, 52000 CUP cartridges, in the standard 336 rifle, same frame as the 30-30 and 35 Remington. There is room for improvement with the 35 Remington in a Marlin 336 rifle. I ran hundreds of +P loads of 200 gr Sierras and 185 Speers out of my 336 without a hiccup. It was a solid deer and hog thumper.
