Only a single shot but still a pistol caliber. It's a 1982 H&R 258 Handy Gun II factory chambered in 357 Remington Maximum. This caliber was only chambered '82-'84. It can also shoot 38 Special and 357 Magnum. I bought the barreled action and just found these stocks. This gun would have originally came with a matching 20 gauge barrel. I may finally have a line on one to complete the package. The scope is a 2-7x33 Redfield Revolution (Leupold).

We did a tremendous amount of work here on the .357 Max Handi Rifle..ended up shooting 110 grainers at over 3,000 FPS and 200 grain Cast Performance gas checks at 2,100 FPS. This is only the opposite ends of the spectrum. This is an unsung caliber that is amazing.
I think it will shine even brighter with .358 Jacketed soft points like speer deep curls.

Awesome find and very nice! IMHO the handi rifle is under rated. I have 2 combos. 1 in .308 win, 450 Marlin. And the other in 35 Whelen, 25-06. Would love to find a 30-06 barrel for the latter.

What were the original stocks?
BTW, hated the yellow!
