Have any of you fine folks ever had much experience with the 375 Winchester round? My brother just traded into a Ruger #3 in 375 Winchester and will be tinkering with loads for it. Any suggestions are welcome. I think he has some H4198 powder, some 200 grain Sierra flat nose bullets, and several hundred Starline cases as a starting point.

If memory serves, the .375 Win is a sort of updated .38-55. There should be plenty of data available on powder manufacturers sites, and most relatively modern reloading manuals should give him all the info he can use. I went to this website and there was data for H4198 and 200 grain bullets. Should be a start anyway.

I have a winchester 94BB in .375 winchester. I have managed to break 2k fps muzzle velocity using a 260gr. bullet with N-133 powder. I had to use a drop tube to compress the powder or else the seater plug leaves a ring on my cast bullet. the gun is great, the only issue I have is the same issue with all 94s where the cartridge stop fails and cartridges go under the carrier locking the gun.
