I'm dismantling some of my old .44 magnum reloads using an inertia bullet puller. Two of the jacketed hollow point bullets shed their core with the jacket staying in the case. Several others have visibly moving cores in the jacket.
What's your thoughts on the remaining bullets, safe to reload and shoot? I was going to put them in the marketplace but not if the bullets might leave the jacket in the bore.

I fired at least 200 of the reloads over the past years with no issues from my .44 rifles.

Age, look like Speer bullets, Cannelure not deep enough to hold lead core in place or the lead core is undersized., it may also be that the jacket wasn't formed *swaged" correctly around the lead core. Just a thought as I swage bullets using copper jackets / lead cores and 22LR cases for jackets, most cases the point ogive holds the core in place or when your forming the point whether it is a HP or SP

I do know that Speer re-designed their 200gr "flying ashtrays" as there were some cases where the core and jacket separated, ya know legal "time", never had the problem loading "thousands" of them.
