Have multiple rifle cans and just started wait on an octane 45 can. Looking for a good host in the form of a PDW / SBR. I'm not opposed to stating with a pistol or rifle system and filing for SBR . Who has suppressed a 45 sub gun weapon and has suggestions? I have a couple SBRs now in 300BO and 5.56 and think a 45acp would be much more fun to play with.

B&T I think are the only maker of "dedicated" 45 ACP PCCs. The APC45 and the GHM45 - which both come in Glock Magazine compatible lowers or B&T Steel "zipperback" magazines- I personally think the latter are better since they come in factory 25 round models as opposed to Extension for Glock Magazines.

The CMMG is great as a suppressor host but only supports in Glock magazines for the 45 model

Shameless plug: I have a GHM45 listed

I once shot a Banshee 45 with the radial delay bolt and it was really nice. Obsidian 45 on the end. It was much quieter than my blowback 9mm PCC.
If money is of no concern with your purchase, then the Banshee is the way to go. If money does play into your decision, I have a Foxtrot Mike 45, and something to consider. The FM 35 is nice and runs great. But the Banshee is slightly quieter due to the radial delay bolt. FM 45 is just a standard blow back PCC.

No matter which way you go, there is nothing like sending 230 grains of freedom quietly out the barrel to hear it smack steel down range.

The Banshee 9mm has had my eye for a while. They make nice looking gats.
Yeah, they are nice! I got bit by the cheapskate bug and caved when I ran across a great deal on the FM 45. Don’t get me wrong, it has been good a good PCC. But I haven’t ran it hard either. I know the Banshee can withstand the heat. I can’t say that for the FM 45.

Good to know!

If money is no object APC45pro. Grand Power is trying to import a .45 Stribog that has my eye. Might have trouble with hollowpoints like the 9mm version though. Nexus firearms is also developing a .45 conversion kit for the Scorpion which could be interesting.

I have a Kriss 45 acp SBR/Banshee 45 SBR/Tommybuilt TMP45.

Ordered Id rank them
Tommybuilt
Banshee
Kriss (heavy)

Thanks for all the feedback. Good info. Looking a bit more into conversion to SBR / adding stock down road the banshee wins there with cost it seems. B&T are proud of their stock assemblies.

A Banshee vote. I have Kriss 45, Banshee 45, APC10. APC10 is awesome; however, my goto is the Banshee up to 45 super. It may change as I get my DI 45 running at 460 Rowland levels.

Banshee wears either a Gemtech or Ghost with an ASR Bravo adapter.

Ive built and shot all sorts of oddball 45 stuff. First I dont I dont like the Glock mag guns. There are no decent 45 ACP Glock high capacity mags. Thats really true. The SG mags are awful.

Theres other choices. This one is a RMW Extreme 45 grease gun mag lower with a CMMG rotary delay upper . The mags are as reliable as they get and even the repro mags are top quality.

There is always the MAC 10

I have both a CMMG Banshee and a B&T GHM45 in .45 ACP. Both are SBRs. The CMMG is more pleasant to shoot, especially given the nature of the B&T collapsing stock, but I really like the B&T more. The mags for the B&T are robust and hold 25 rounds. They are expensive, but they work and they are pretty easy to load. The CMMG is stuck with 13 round Glock mags or aftermarket mags. It also looks goofy with the Glock magazine. Glock magazine ARs are absolutely functional, but they look really stupid IMO. I own several, but I don't really like to admit it. :D

If I had to choose just one it would be the B&T despite it being more expensive and straight blowback.

Hows your experience with the TM45 suppressed?

I shot a HK UMP 45 suppressed at a rental range and was disappointed, ridiculous amount of gas. Felt like I was getting slapped in the face every shot.

Really good. Since Tommy builds them with suppression in mind. I’ve not had any issues with it.

I had a kriss vector some years ago and found the controls really awkward. The downward bolt travel makes sense for a select fire but for semi auto it doesnt achieve much. I’ve not owned the B&T GHM45 but from what I’ve seen I’d Buy once cry once.

call be boring but I’m so happy with the cz evo 9mm that my interest in other PDW clones is near zero.

I don't have any experience with .45 specifically, but I can't recommend the B&T APC10 pro enough. It's a masterpiece and you can get the Glock magazine lower which accepts SGM mags, which are very reliable and much more affordable than the Kriss or B&T extensions for the Glock mags.

Not to promote my own BST for sale thread (he says before promoting his BST for sale thread), but this is the obvious choice for a .45 ACP PDW:
