6mm Grendel round more or less.
I think it will do very well. I’m debating on what to get when I need to debarred my 65cm and it will probably be something in 6mm. Was leaning towards 6gt but this might be it for me. We will see. I feel like this will have more support than the gt in components and stuff. You should really be able to push it in a bolt gun compared to the ar platform.

Keep us posted especially about the bolt gun.I am going to sell my 6.5 Grendel upper, and sell my Bergara 308, and switch to 6ARC for a bolt gun and AR.
Not a simple rebarrel, this is not a .308 bolt face.I think it will do very well. I’m debating on what to get when I need to debarred my 65cm and it will probably be something in 6mm. Yeah I know. Will need a new bolt and barrel if I don't end up buying a whole new gun. Been looking at the MPA PMR pro in 6GT, figured by the time I'm ready to order one they may be doing them in 6ARC.Not a simple rebarrel, this is not a .308 bolt face.
The 6 arc will be awesome in an ar15 platform which is what it is made for.. In a bolt gun there are plenty of other chamberings that are better. Just look at the 6br, 6 dasher, 6 gt, 6x47, 6 xc, and 6 creed.
I would like to see what the powder of choice for the 6 arc will be. The grendel I use to have with a 24 inch barrel used 27 grains of ar comp with a 123 grain lapua scenar. I found ar comp to be very temp sensitive.
Exactly. I remember when i had the grendel years ago, people were necking it down to 6mm.This ARC is not new - Robert Whitley and others have been making guns in this round (and improved versions) for 15 years. I shot the straight Grendel for years and now I’ve been shooting a 6 Fat Rat, which is an improved version with a 40 deg shoulder that is blown forward. IMO, it is the absolute best long range trajectory you can safely fit in an AR-15 sized platform. Powder choices should be in the range around 4895 and Rel-15. I shoot Rel-15, and the 95 grain bullets actually shot better than 105’s that are going 100fps slower. Very accurate, to boot.
But, if I had a bolt gun for PRS type shooting instead of an AR, it would be in 6BR, without question
I'll wait and see where it goes. The whole thing with it being used by an "unnamed" DOD department is fluff. AFAIK this is nothing more than what wildcatters have been calling 6mm grendel for years given a SAAMI spec and corporate support from Hornady. I've got a feeling this will go the same way as 224V.
You will need a new bolt or bolt work done by a smith and you will need 6BR mags, or the 6BR adapter for this to fit in AI magsYeah I know. Pretty good info there. Watched it last night and posted it in the other arc thread. Still interest me for sure but in a bolt gun.
