6mm Max short barrel velocities

This is utterly insane! Shared from Mike Mihalski's socials. 3150+ fps from a 10.5" barrel. Really interesting new cartridge, honestly probably would make a lot more sense for mil adoption over something like 277 fury...

That's insane. I wonder what kind of velocities and accuracy you can get out of the heavies with it.
With all of these super accurate 6mm hot rod rounds that can be fired out of an AR platform, in my mind it's getting to the point where semi-auto is almost taking over the role of the short action bolt gun chambered in similar calibers for practical shooting scenarios in most of the matches.

He recently did a DMR match with this cartridge. Would have came in first if he didn’t get a 60 second penalty. He sure can shoot!
