Picked this up today for my son. Seems to be pretty good shape considering age. 2.7v6 auto wont go anywhere fast but goes well and its 2wheel drive hell the wife even enjoyed the first ride. Simple and plain and just what he needs. 93k miles and the interior is in great shape.

He doesnt yet know we have it. He is paying for it 3300 bucks. Surprise happens Sunday when we get home from her moms. I get to tool it all the way home from chapel hill to matthews. Excited about that ride. Its got the perfect 80s GM sweet smell inside.

I remember heating the coils while on the car. Let it sag a little then stop. Want more drop have the big kids sit on the hood and heat again for that extra dropped look. Been there done that sure is fun and sure rode like crap. Now i have big kid money. My son however doesnt so we will see where it goes.

Growing up my bro & I had a 86 s10 4x4 black. Talk about a little tank. If it snowed, we’d load it up with a couple cords of fire wood for additional weight & traction. It was unstoppable. The tranny started to slip at 100k & we sold it. Great trucks

I had that same truck in back in 95. It just kept going and going and going. I drove it like I stole it but it wouldn’t quit.

Fantastic!! Looks great… You got the real deal on that one.. $3,300 is close to what it sold for when new but IMHO worth every penny.

We had an extended cab, 2 wheel drive, V6, S10 with a 5 speed manual transmission and AC that looked like that. Except ours was dark blue.
It was a great truck. The extended cab wheel base made it comfortable for trips and the V6 had plenty of power, even when pulling my 15 ft fiberglass fish and ski boat. It got good gas mileage.

After the rust got to the cab corners we graduated to a K10 4x4 step side that couldn’t go by a gas station without a brief stop but my wife loved it because she could park it in the snow banks at the grocery store in the winter, freak the soccer moms out, and impress the boys. She would tell me stories about how guys would tell her that they liked her truck… and the expression on their face when she told them that her husband has one just like it - meaning that one.
It was black with white decals, big white letter tires, and had a decent aftermarket exhaust that sounded sweet but not loud.

Made the drive home. Alternator crapped out wont hold steady voltage. New battery went in in Siler City on the way home as the old one wouldnt even test and trouble free 2.5 hr drive completed.

The look on his face was absolutely priceless he couldnt believe it. Already ordered some parts.

Nice. I hope Gavin enjoys it! He's a great kid. I'm sure gonna miss working with him. You raised him up right brother.

Coming up on 40 years old....it has Earned this look....maybe paint the rims RED and pop those Poverty Caps back on and RIDE!!!

They do Pard...it's called a Ford Maverick...it costs 1/2 of what you and I both don't like...30 MPG and runs like a striped ape. Adjusted for
inflation probably Less than my 1999 3.0 5 speed Ranger that I still have and was bought new.
Room on the dash for a statue of the Virgin Mary when you want to see how fast it will go, 2K rpm @80+ mph.😀

Wish they still made small pickups like that, the old ranger, Mazda b series. You don't always need a $50k fullsize with a 4 foot bed
Rumor has it that Subaru is going to bring back the Baja to compete against Maverick and Santa Cruz.

They beat the import tariffs by putting seats in the bed and calling it a passenger vehicle.
