My '96 F150 blew the #13 fuse today. I had the switch on the master cylinder replaced as part of the recall 9-10 years ago.

I started unplugging things I understood to be on the #13 fuse's circuit:

1. Unplugged the switch on the master cylinder. Blew the new fuse. Left it unplugged.

2. Unplugged the turn signal flasher. Blew the new fuse. Left it unplugged.

3. Unplugged the brake position switch. Did not blow the new fuse.

4. Replaced brake position switch. Blew the new fuse as soon as touched the brake pedal.

5. Unplugged the CC servo under the hood. Blew the new fuse with brake position switch still plugged in as soon as I touched the brake pedal.

Any input would be appreciated.

If you have a trailer connector check it and the nearby wiring, it is common for them to get damaged or shorted. #1 cause of blowing fuses in the brake system wiring. This is just a guess though till I can look at the schematic at work tommorow and see where everything on that circuit goes.

I owe you a beer.

I remembered a wire on the four pin connector was severed, so I taped in up and that fixed it. I pulled my brother out of the ditch earlier today, and that's what kicked the fuse. I must have shorted it out in the process.

I really appreciate it!
