Sincerest condolences, this is hard to read. Please tell your father he'll be in our thoughts and prayers, please stay safe. JonbishMy Dad text me a couple hours ago. He said he hoped I was having a good day, but he wasn't. Then said he loved me. I had to call.
He received a call today that his buddy, 47 year old forrester Kevin Williams, died today. To say it came as a total shock is an understatement.
Kevin tested positive for covid a couple of months back. He recovered nicely, but he wanted to go on a cruise that had been postponed because of all this covid crap. Unfortunately, he had to be vaxxed to be able to go. Not wanting to disappoint his wife, he got the shot. Three weeks later, he's dead. Died today around 9:30AM.
On top of that, Dad was at Barbara's house today. She was in her 80s, but hospice was taking care of her. She was speaking and witty just five days ago. Yesterday, something was different. Today, short breaths, no chatting, then about 8pm, gone. He was there when she died. He was very fond of her because she was like him, a little rough around the edges.
My Dad is 75, probably in better shape than me, and just an all around great guy. A few members have met him. @lowspeed @Rob @Jon Bish @11B CIB @Chdamn, @Chdamn's Wife
Please, can you say a prayer or send a good thought his way? Not only has he been hit hard by these two events, but he had to put his 17y/o (or older) cat, Pumpkin, to sleep last week, and he'll also be remembering his grandson's (my son's) birthday and anniversary of his passing, in the next few days.
Also, please think of Kevin's family, and Barbara's family. They need support, as well.
Thank you, friends.
