Sorry to hear all that. Give your Dad a hug, handshake or drink for me. Whatever way you roll. Iā€™ve got a few recent stories that are similarly horrible, but donā€™t have 100% of the facts so I wonā€˜t repeat. Just hang with those you care about. Things might be betting very rocky. But weā€™ll come through this in the end.

Prayers lifted for you and your Dad.

Will be thinking of you as well.

Sorry to hear this T, that's horrible
Always make sure the people you care about know that you care, time is not guaranteed.

My Dad text me a couple hours ago. He said he hoped I was having a good day, but he wasn't. Then said he loved me. I had to call.

He received a call today that his buddy, 47 year old forrester Kevin Williams, died today. To say it came as a total shock is an understatement.

Kevin tested positive for covid a couple of months back. He recovered nicely, but he wanted to go on a cruise that had been postponed because of all this covid crap. Unfortunately, he had to be vaxxed to be able to go. Not wanting to disappoint his wife, he got the shot. Three weeks later, he's dead. Died today around 9:30AM.

On top of that, Dad was at Barbara's house today. She was in her 80s, but hospice was taking care of her. She was speaking and witty just five days ago. Yesterday, something was different. Today, short breaths, no chatting, then about 8pm, gone. He was there when she died. He was very fond of her because she was like him, a little rough around the edges.

My Dad is 75, probably in better shape than me, and just an all around great guy. A few members have met him. @lowspeed @Rob @Jon Bish @11B CIB @Chdamn, @Chdamn's Wife

Please, can you say a prayer or send a good thought his way? Not only has he been hit hard by these two events, but he had to put his 17y/o (or older) cat, Pumpkin, to sleep last week, and he'll also be remembering his grandson's (my son's) birthday and anniversary of his passing, in the next few days.

Also, please think of Kevin's family, and Barbara's family. They need support, as well.

Thank you, friends.
Sincerest condolences, this is hard to read. Please tell your father he'll be in our thoughts and prayers, please stay safe. Jonbish

That's a rough week. Good thoughts and prayers to him.

Prayers that your dad can deal with the tough news. He has a good son.

@kcult absolutely. That does sound like a lot on his plate at once. Prayers and thoughts.

Next time you speak to him perhaps a good fond memory of your childhood will bring back that smile and happiness. Might be worth a try.

Visits always good too.

Iā€™ve met your dad. Nice guy and we share some friends. Please pass to him let me know if I can do anything to help him with his grief.

Dang, thatā€™s a tough round for sure. You got it And so does he.

At least you know he has a strong support system. Just as you do.

As always. pick up the phone.

I can relate. I attended two funerals today. Both parents of my friend died in a car wreck near Taylorvilles and a covid complications death.

Much harder for your dad being very close and losing his pet. Best wishes as his heart heals from all losses.

Prayers on the way. šŸ˜¢

Your Dad and all of yours are in my prayers.
Ron

Prayers for your dad. Thatā€™s a lot to deal with in a short period of time. Spend some time with him if you can.

I'll be thinking about your dad, you, and your family.

I remember I handed you that square plastic pack of 1oz silver rounds and your dad, thinking they were condoms, was like What kind of party is this šŸ¤£

Iā€™m sorry to hear what heā€™s dealing with. And you also at this time
