Currently running an Octane 9 V2, and like it, other tan being longer than some of the guns I shoot.
Debating picking up another 9mm suppressor, any feedback on favorites and why?

What host(s)?

I’d recommend different things based on whether it was for an actual handgun, or some type of AR-9/PCC.

I know “suppress all the things” is supposed to be the answer…but I can’t even remember the last time I shot a suppressed (non-22LR) handgun. Just not a fan.

At this point I’d probably look at something shorter like the Omega 9K. Wish they made an Osprey 2.0 9K.

What is the purpose of the suppressor?

I am kind of like @BigWaylon in that I rarely suppress any of my pistols except for my 22lr. That is partially because I have the original octane 9 which I love on my mpx but it is pretty cumbersome on pistols.

I had looked into the dead air wolfman and the odessa 9, silencerco omega 9k, and huxworks rad 9 and cash 9k for a bit as dedicated pistol cans. I wanted short enough to take the edge of flash and sound to be used on a nightstand pistol. I ended up getting another rifle can and put the pistol can on hold.

The two popular ones seem to be the CGS Mod9 and Rugged Obsidian 9. I own both and they both have pros and cons. I'm not sure you could go wrong with either.

I like my obsidian a lot. Had a tirant 9 for a very long time which is great but wanted something shorter for my scorpion SBR. With the obsidian being modular you can go either way. It’s not terribly quiet in the short form since there are only a few baffles but it’s hearing safe I feel. Also a lot of mount compatibility options and rated for hot calibers.

Dead air wolfman sd is really nice, it’s modular so it can be shorter it you desire. It can use a wipe, and it has several attachment options. Plus it’s good with 300bo if you like also.
