A Baltimore show Krag

Found this clean Krag 1896 SRC at the Baltimore Military Collector show about 3 aisles from the back wall. The stock has been lightly sanded with no proof mark behind the trigger guard and a light illegible stamp behind the saddle ring. No big cracks. The $$$$ rear carbine sight was swapped out with a common rifle sight but it made the rifle affordable. Has a nice blue extractor. Didn’t plan on buying another Krag but as I sold a revolver and some moulds I’ve only got a grand in it.

I went to that Show in the 1980's till I got out of MD in 1993. In the Day some good deals to be had, have no idea as of today.
