Brave is a free and open-source web browser developed by Brave Software, Inc. based on the Chromium web browser. It blocks ads and website trackers, and provides a way for users to send cryptocurrency contributions in the form of Basic Attention Tokens to websites and content creators.

I have used or tried most of them and found Brave to be the best. It doesn't bog down like forefox,it doesn't let BS advertisement in, No viruses like Chrome; yet its made by the guys that did chrome. Its just good. I have used it for 2 months now before I recommend it. Its not as slick as some others;but all my extensions work with brave. You are able to import all tour bookmarks from the other browsers easily. Just a suggestion for the forum. I tried to send it to all but can only do it this way.

No, get Dissenter because with it you can comment on any website. Same Chromium core and ad blocker. Also, I hear that Google has takin over duckduckgo, hope I'm wrong but money talks.

EDIT: I was incorrect, duckduckgo was just added as an option for a search engine in the Chrome browser because they want to head off any anti-trust suits

Dissenter Browser, is it safe to use?

Dissenter is a browser developed by the social network Gab, and as we know, that site is very, very toxic and responsible for some hate crimes that have happened. That being said, would someone be labeled alt-right/neo nazi for using the Dissenter browser? Is it even possible for someone to use Dissenter for the greater good (i.e., spreading positive news, saying positive things, etc) Should one even support Gab and its hateful ilk by using Dissenter?

Sir it was only a suggestion. There are many browsers to use Vivaldi etc. I liked the ease of transfering bookmarks etc. as for Disenter.. All I wanted to doe is let the forum know that there are options to edge chrome etc;that I have actually used and trusted.

I use Brave. It is what I am using on my phone right now as I type this. There are only a couple of websites it hasn't liked in the 2 years or so that I've used it.

I started using Brave on my iPad. It has made web browsing tolerable again. The default browser lets so many ads and junk through that you can't even read the site content half the time. Of course there are sites and techniques now to detect when you're blocking the ads and some of them try to complain or refuse to load, in which case I just decide their garbage isn't worth my time.

For anybody on a metered connection, like a cell phone with only X gigs of data per month, the ads, pop ups, malware, etc, can really eat into the allocation too.

You will if you want to be free from the alien mind control rays.

I'll look into this browser, but running Firefox with several addons I rarely see ads or have problems, and when I do I just block the domain/subdomain they come from.
ever notice facebook or some other sites slowing down? Check task master you will see 3-6 firefox open.

DIssenter is a free speech platform used by patriots everywhere. Now, if anyone is using their real name and email then that's just dumb. As for alt right, no more so than here. I LOVE being able to fire off a comment on sites I've been banned from. No, unless you have dissenter you won't see it, but the more people that get it the better. I am typing to you now and I am going to leave a dissenter comment for you. You will need dissenter to read it.

and thats why I don't use disenter ;)

I loaded it up on my phone and did notice a speed difference, as well as fewer ads.

I'm going to try it for desktop and see if there's a difference, but the ability to load addons in Firefox is something that's become important, as I use a lot of different ones for various reasons.
I just use use for my computer;never tried for phone. As far as adons. I use dashlane as a password monitor and had no problem finding an extention. Again All I was doing was to try to contribute to the forum that is all.

I've been using Brave for a bit and really like it, it works much better with LastPass password manager as well.
Is this a g00gle/droid issue, or did IT just disable Brave on the droid? It still runs fine on an iPhone and PC laptop.
