A Little Clay Shooting With My RIA VR 60 12ga - Donnie D

Tell me more about your "flash" clays!

Also, how has your VR 60 been for reliability? I've recently had a nightmare of a time with a low-end semi-auto (GF-1) and am considering the VR 60 as a replacement.

This is the easiest and best way I make them. I have a few more vids on You Tube on making and shooting them. Just search my You Tube channel and check them out.

Also, the VR 60 is a really nice shotgun, BUT expect a bit of a break in period. Mine would shoot high velocity (1250 fps or higher) ammo fine out of the box, and it is just beginning to shoot the low velocity (1200 fps) cheap crap ammo as well. I shot 3 mags of that stuff yesterday and only had one FTE. Only reason I shoot that stuff is I have a crap load of it. Still have about 300 rounds of it. With all that said, I really love the gun. SO much fun to shoot.

Also, Check out "Montana Johns Outdoor Adventures". Is by far the best source of info on this gun. Helped me a lot. Look at his web site and his You Tube channel.

Do they do much if you just shoot them with a rifle? I like to let people shoot clays I set on the berm, usually with a 22. Wondered if they’d puff a bit, or just crack.

We had a guy run one of these at a SC tourney for work.

It did not go well. Peep sights and leading fast crossers isn’t an easy combo.
