So often I see posts of people having issues doing their applications or renewals, so I wanted to share my surprisingly positive experience doing my CHP change of address.
I’ve done change of addresses a couple times before, 1 of which was between counties, like this one.
I went to the Iredell SO Wednesday, turns out I really needed to go to Cabarrus since that’s where my current permit was issued. After a minute of polite conversation and verifying some info, the woman was able to fax a simple 1 page form over to Cabarrus. She made it sound like only certain counties will do this faxed form. 3 business days later and I have my change of address card in my mailbox!
I was expecting it to take 30 days, or that Cabarrus would want me to drive down there. It’s a little win, but a win nonetheless in my book.
